ICWI Expands its Promise to the People of Dominica

Commonwealth of Dominica

For anyone who lives in the Caribbean, the devastation caused in recent years by these so called ‘monster storms’ packing winds in excess of 200mph is quite fresh. Just last year, The Bahamas were lashed by a horrific ‘monster’ called Dorian. As climate change becomes the new ‘buzz word’ worldwide, the people of the Caribbean have already experienced its impact, seeing more Category Five hurricanes in

The symbolic presentation was made to Chairperson of JRR, Carolind Graham. “Reach to Recovery is a voluntary organization. We are all breast cancer survivors and so we know all too well how expensive treatment can be. We are truly grateful to everyone who supports the Pink Run, as in actuality they are supporting a very worthy cause. This $6M will go a long way towards, not only the victims, but also the families of those affected by breast cancer, Graham explained.

ICWI’s Christmas Treats 2019 ICWI's Book Drive Throughout the years, ICWI has always played a significant role in giving back to the communities in which it operates. Bull Bay Senior Citizen’s Treat On December 18, ICWI partnered with an ‘unsung hero’ in organizing a Christmas treat for many senior citizens in Bull Bay. For over a decade, District Constable Troy Lewis has been responsible for the annual Christmas treat for many senior citizens and shutins in the area.

District Constable Troy Lewis reached out the ICWI Group Foundation for financial assistance, and the Company did not hesitate to get involved. The seniors were gathered at the Bull Bay Police Station in St. Andrew where they received dinner and entertainment which was provided by the many gracious ICWI staff volunteers. The seniors in attendance were also given an ICWI shopping bag filled with non-perishable groceries to take home. It was evident by the smiles and expressions of gratitude from the seniors that their special Christmas treat was deeply appreciated.

Lighthouse Basic School Treat Sponsored by ICWI Group Foundation since 2012, the Lighthouse Basic School, was treated to a day filled with fun, food and entertainment on December 16. The children were entertained by ten members of the ICWI Family who sang Christmas carols for them. The children danced and sang along with the team as they were treated to snacks and lunch. Additionally, there was a bounce-a-bout on location which certainly added to the day’s excitement.

ICWI Foundation members Kayla Lewis-Thomas (left), Broker Representative; Valerie Khani-Reynolds (centre), Chairperson of the ICWI Grants Committee; and Simmone ReidPryce, Broker Representative, have fun with students of Lighthouse Basic School in New Haven, St. Andrew.

Each child was then presented with a gift courtesy of ICWI which sent them home with huge smiles on their faces. ICWI is committed to the development of the children at the Lighthouse Basic School.

Her willingness to put in extra time and effort to help us meet deadlines has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that we have come to depend upon. In addition to her competence and skill, she has been a friend to many with her thoughtfulness and quiet encouragement.
