Day 1: Get a Place, Settle In

Reserve a Cabin or Houseboat at Prizer Point Marina and Resort

Dinner
Head over to the Pier Restaurant at Prizer Point (it's the "Floating Restaurant") for burgers, baskets, and a kid’s menu
Come back into town and walk off those calories a little — and seriously consider adding a few back with a dessert from The Burger Barn. Try a slice of cheesecake, a few scoops of ice cream, or one of their brownie sundaes
Day 2
Breakfast
Head back to the floating restaurant Start with a hearty breakfast at the Pier at Prizer Point.
Explore the Lake
Prizer guests don't need to pull out the wallet to rent a kayak or canoe, so claim one and head out into the water exploring the shores of Lake Barkley. Share a double kayak or go it alone on a stand up paddleboard
Lunch
Refuel by going into the town of Cadiz for lunch at Debbie Kay's Restaurant
LBL
Cross Lake Barkley into Land Between the Lakes and begin to experience Kentucky’s wildlife and adventures. Make your first stop the Golden Pond Visitors Center and choose from multiple family-friendly activities:
The Planetarium; the one and only planetarium in Western Kentucky, and one of only five in the state.
The Elk and Bison Prairie: 700 acre drive-through habitat open dawn to dusk
The Homeplace: See what life was like on a mid-19th century Tennessee farm
Dinner
On your way back to your cabin, go through Cadiz and enjoy dinner at the Cadiz Restaurant open 5am-10pm Mon-Sat.
Have some ice cream in downtown Cadiz to follow Find a "Throw-Back" nostalgia at The Pig's Tail
Day 3
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at Taste of the South and choose from a splendid menu including omelets, biscuits and gravy or country ham.
Pack a lunch and then off you go back to Land Between the Lakes for hiking around Hematite Lake
... where you will see animals and reptiles of all kinds including a coyote, Great Horned Owl, Bald eagle, many reptiles, and even a Red wolf
Learn about these animals from the trained staff as they teach during their daily feedings demonstrations
This flat, 2 2 mile hike around the lake is just what you need to start your day and experience Kentucky’s natural habitat.
After your hike, head to the Nature Station just around the corner...
At the end of a day of adventure...
The Harper House offers elevated cuisine including ribeye, shrimp n’ grits, and beef carpaccio rolls. Triplets BBQ has an original style of dining-in and treats you to mouthwatering barbecue
Day 4
On your last day, have breakfast on your own and squeeze in a round of golf, or take a quick swim at the beach at Lake Barkley, before grabbing lunch (Authentic Mexican) at El Bracero.
Now it’s time to hit the road and head back home, relaxed and rejuvenated.
