UPDATE FROM GRANT

Sadly, the summer season has come to an end. However as we head into Autumn, we have some exciting changes and an action-packed year ahead to look forward to.

It's encouraging to see high levels of demand continuing with TRT Transport Parts. March has produced greater than-expected sales with a variety of genuine and after-market parts. We have new Sampa products arriving to cover most makes and models including suspension, brakes, and steering. Our trailer team is celebrating some wins with TRT’s first Gen. 4 ESS Platform Trailer for 2023 out the door to its customer, Nikau Group.

February had its challenges with the severe tropical cyclone Gabrielle that devastated parts of the North Island. Our customer, Prestige Building Removals, were moving a new transportable home when cyclone Gabrielle hit, and unfortunately lost their TRT House Moving Trailer and the home it was carrying. The trailer is currently back at TRT’s manufacturing facility in Hamilton being assessed and repaired by our team. It was a heart-breaking moment for our customers, nevertheless, it is a commitment of TRT to get this trailer back to full operational condition as soon as possible. A huge thanks also goes out to all those who reached out to these affected areas and helped in any way possible.

A lot of our customers with TRT’s Traction Air Systems installed have been asked to help with the clean-up. The Traction Air E Series is notable for its safety features so is the ideal equipment for major flooding events. We have also seen an exciting shift in the market with house-moving businesses taking advantage of the new capabilities for their trucks. This shift reflects the industry’s growing confidence in our state-of-the-art innovation and demonstrates the versatility of this product for a wide range of different applications.

I would also like to mention that our seating department is continuing to outperform. This is the outcome of two main reasons; Investment in good stock quantities that enable us to provide for our customers and be well-equipped for any challenges and we have qualified, knowledgeable and committed people in our seating team.
