About TROY, OHIO
TROY, OHIO is a prosperous industrial community located on the banks of the Great Miami River in southwestern Ohio, twenty miles North of Dayton Troy, with a population of over 27,000, does not convey the impression of an industrial city. Rather, it conveys that of a "small town" with a "big town" feel. Troy places great importance on aesthetics as such our sidewalks, streets, and downtown are well maintained. This is the core of why Troy is a special place to live, work, play and raise a family. Troy citizens take great pride in their community.
The city was founded in the early years of the 19th century and was incorporated in 1814, in that time Troy became a regional leader throughout Miami County which is a reputation it still upholds today
