Chamber Announces New Event Lessons in Leadership with Andy Stumpf

The Chamber will be hosting a new annual event. Each year, we will feature a motivational speaker who specializes in Leadership and motivational speaking.

For the inaugural event, the Chamber is pleased to welcome Andy Stumpf, a former member of Navy Seal Team 6 and noted motivational speaker. His topic will be Lessons in Leadership. During the event to be held at the Arbogast Performing Arts Center, Adam. Stumpf will speak about his 17-year career as a Navy Seal.

Andy has gained notoriety also for his charitable initiatives as well. He has set two world records after jumping from 36,500 feet and flying over 18 miles in a wing suit to raise 1 million dollars for the Navy Seal Foundation. Stumpf’s business experience includes managing corporate development, strengthening and livening relationships an sponsorships with other fortune 500 Brands.

Chamber Partners on Human Resource Survey The Chamber is partnering with the Troy Foundation to conduct a Human Resources survey to address the needs of both employees and employers in the Troy community. In 2019, The Management Resources was retained by the Troy Foundation to conduct a community needs assessment on a wide range of issues. The data from the survey will be used to improve aspects of the quality of life in Troy. The Chamber is eager to participate in the workforce component of the survey so that we can better understand the issues facing our businesses. The survey addresses a variety of topics and points which are relevant to the businesses and employees. The 16-question poll covers a wide range of issues from childcare, transportation, and other barriers to employment. The survey can be accessed through this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RPLPJQV; the Chamber hopes that the information will be an effective tool that we can use to better serve our member and the community as a whole.

community through their vast involvement in civic activities.

Dungan and LeFevere has participated in a wide range of programs and activities, each one contributing to the betterment of Troy in different ways. In addition to being long standing Chamber members, they have been involved with the Troy Development Council, Teen Leadership Troy, the United Way, the Lincoln Community Center, and the Upper Valley Medical Center Foundation. What is more, they give financial support to several nonprofit organizations throughout Troy.

The firm has also defined themselves as a well respected and noted leader in their profession. This was made evident by their recent listing in the 2021 edition of US News Best Lawyers as one of the “Best Law Firms” in Trust and Estate Law in the Dayton area.

The Chamber has a responsibility to promote market Troy community, that is why we take an active interest in welcoming visitors and new businesses to Troy. This is made evident through the many shop local initiatives that we often launch to remind people of the vast shopping experiences which exists right here in Troy. The Chamber is proud to be an advocate for the businesses within the community, but we are equally as proud to be a partner in advocacy for the community as well.

NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce awards program recognizes and celebrates achievements of individuals who distinguish themselves through their work or personal involvement within the community. Nominations are due by September 15.

The Awards Committee of the TACC seeks nominations and recommends candidates for community leadership awards, including: Young Man of the Year, Young Woman of the Year, Community Service Award, Outstanding Educator of the Year, and Distinguished Citizen.
