Visualization and remote-control system
Our visualization and remote-control system with customized application software was developed to collect and control the data and processes of the power plant. All interfaces convince with their design and are simple and easy to understand to allow for intuitive operation of the output devices. The manually or automatically entered target values are transmitted via the power plant’s internal Ethernet or via the Internet directly to the power plant control system, where they are converted into commands and then passed on to the machine. Nevertheless, the automation system is entirely controlled by the PLC. This ranking guarantees the perfect functioning of the automation and control system, even in the event of a PC failure. In addition, a complete image of the power plant and the catchment is implemented into the PLC.
The system not only provides the possibility of visualizing measured values and entering target values, but all operational and measurement data can be archived continuously with high time resolution. Thus, a comprehensive data archive covering many years is available and makes it possible to track long-term trends of measured variables. In the case of revitalization or optimization, the system is able to precisely determine the prevailing operating conditions and the existing optimization potential. The system is continuously monitored by the PLC to ensure optimal operation and process control. All operational messages, warnings and faults are indicated on the various output devices and operating displays. The current status of the plant can be checked at all times, and the automation immediately signals any malfunctions or anomalies through a number of channels. Deviations or exceedances can be displayed on the plant PC or sent as an SMS message via an independent GSM module to freely definable numbers.
