Innovation since 1934 The company founder Valentin Troyer himself recognised that only the sustainable use of local resources can ensure long-term energy supply. During his training as an electrical engineer, he already acquired extensive knowledge in the field of hydropower through private studies and ceaseless experimentations.

The electromechanical workshop was the first step towards the industrial company of today.

As a family owned company located in Vipiteno, since the year 1934 we are working in the hydropower sector. Our scope of delivery covers the complete electromechanical equipment of hydropower plants, from the intake to the grid connection. Together with highest reliability and quality of our products, sustainability and the ecological footprint are at the top of the priority list in our company.

Our aim is not just to fulfil the requirements placed on us, but to continually set international benchmarks with technically outstanding products. We provide complete water-to-wire solutions Our wide portfolio of products and services covers the entire working cycle of hydroelectric plants of all sizes and functions. We offer full, individual support for each power plant, from comprehensive advice and planning, project engineering and complete construction through to regular maintenance services.

The plant components used are mainly manufactured by ourselves and are distinguished by their durability, quality and individual suitability to customer needs.

Pelton, Francis and Kaplan turbines up to 30 MW of unit power, full electromechanical equipment and standalone automation solutions mean a total concept integrating all components.

When purchasing additional items such as generators, we work only with manufacturers that we can vouch for with a clear conscience.

Whether for new buildings, overhaul work or increasing the efficiency of existing plants, we employ our full experience and our specialist knowledge of all areas of power plant construction in order to ensure the best possible success for each project. ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications and, from 2013, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 3834 all provide proof of the quality of our work.

Turbines Our technical team is composed of engineers from various disciplines, which allows us to assist our customers as early as the planning phase with a wealth of experience that we have gathered from our work on 600 turbines. The machines are accurately adapted to the requirements of each project and planned and assembled in a tailored fashion, regardless of whether it is a new plant or a retrofit project.

Our goal is to ensure that all investments are guaranteed to achieve the highest possible profitability while taking into account quality and sustainability.

Ball valve The ball valve is available with nominal diameters between DN 100 and DN 800 and nominal pressure of up to 100 bar. In addition to the standard seal, we also manufacture ball valves with a revision seal made of martensitic stainless steel. This allows for simplified maintenance and reduced outages.

Service Our Service and Maintenance department provides fast response times, prompt delivery of spare parts and preventive maintenance. High levels of quality and productivity are our priority. That is why we always try to keep outages to a minimum and find a solution as quickly as possible. Of course, we offer our services for plants built by other manufacturers.

Visualization Our visualization and remote control system with customized application software was developed to collect and control the data and processes of the power plant. All interfaces convince with their design and are simple and easy to understand to allow for intuitive operation of the output devices.

Control and automation Our automation systems are designed in such a way that the plant’s water resources are automatically used in the most efficient way possible. The power plant automatically adapts to different operating conditions and is operated with maximum efficiency at all times.

The control of the power plant is carried out entirely by the PLC and is independent of the SCADA system, which is installed on one or more PCs in the power plant.

Of course, all switching operations can also be performed manually.

Power grid control system Our package for the control of power grids is highly interesting as a complement to process visualizations that are already in place, in particular in special cases where alongside power generation other areas, such as power distribution or feed-in into major grids, are to be integrated and displayed.

Renewal and optimization The rehabilitation and optimization of plants as a whole requires a technically competent approach and wide-ranging knowledge in the building of power plants in order to integrate the new elements in the best possible way and at the same time to minimize downtimes. We achieve this through extensive preparation, high-quality products and our experienced technicians whose comprehensive knowledge ranges from hydraulic engineering and fluid mechanics to electrical engineering.
