Created by Lord Burlington in 1725 their design was inspired by the architecture and gardens of ancient Rome. The gardens at Chiswick are the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement and have inspired countless gardens including New York’s Central Park.

Packed Powder A shot from the slopes that fizzes with life and sporting skill.

As a mass of skiers zigzag their way down the mountainside, the spray flicks up behind them, and their shadows head down before them. Faint tracks in the snow linger behind each of the skiers, and you can just make out their hats, backpacks and brightly coloured sportswear, made bolder against the stark white of the snow.

Maserati The 1956 Maserati A6G was the factory demonstrator for the famous Italian Mille Miglia race. It was one of the first cars suitable for both track and public roads. To meet demand in the early 1950s Maserati turned to Coachbuilder Zagato to create an alloy body for a GT car weighing less than 1,800 pounds using aircraft streamlining. Only 20 Zagatos were ever produced each of which were custom made.

The collection makes a welcome splash of bright tones in a modern yet feminine manner that is a kin to a pop art poster series. The photographs have a soft look around the outer petals yet draw us in to the detailed centre where the petals remain tightly formed. The square crop of the image is a further enhancement of the circular bud and rounded shapes.
