Love & Light Makers of bespoke lamps

We pride ourselves on our beautifully designed, hand painted and handcrafted lamps and shades to suit all settings and surroundings, from traditional vintage to modernistic and contemporary.

We utilise local craftsmen with specialist skills in carpentry and electrics to create our lamp bases.

Everything else, including sanding, painting and waxing, is carried out in our studio based in Wiltshire.

Our aim is to provide you with a unique product, reflective of your personality and environment, giving you pleasure and light.

Our vision is to create lamps that will light up your life for years to come. Lighting makes such a difference to the mood and style of an environment, as well as having an impact on how we feel.

We want to make pieces that are beautiful, stylish and customised to suit your space. Every lamp is hand made, hand painted and waxed.

Our lamp shades are also crafted by hand. We take time to ensure each and every piece reflects everything about you and will make a statement in a contemporary or traditional setting. Our passion is to work together with you to fulfil your lamp desires and create a truly bespoke outcome.

Our mission is to provide a unique, personalised service where we invest time and effort with you on a creative journey, discussing and deciding on colours, styles, emblems and shades to create the perfect lamp to suit.

We love the creative process and each lamp, for us, is like producing a piece of bespoke artwork. It’s important to us that we light up people’s lives. A little bit of light goes a long way to making a room a brighter, more stylish place with Love & Light lamps.

We use chalk based paints from Annie Sloan and Autentico. They are fantastic to paint with and provide such a rich spectrum of colours, of which work beautifully when waxed.

Maenad Maenad Women are the female devotees of the God of Wine and Ecstasy, Dionysus and were immortal goddesses of natural manifestations. Their goal was to achieve a state of ecstasy in which their souls were freed and able to commune with Dionysus to gain a glimpse of what they would experience in eternity.

These lamps make excellent mood lighting for bedrooms and anywhere that needs a touch of sensuousness.

ZI N C & INDIGO FEATHER SHADE - ‘HINT O F ZI NC ’ RANGE

Hint of Zinc As part of our contemporary metallic range, Hint of Zinc has been created using panels of brushed Zinc applied to a wooden block base.

Further designs are also available.

The monochromatic finish of the Zinc means that complimentary colours can be used to help blend this piece into your environment, creating a truly adaptable product.

This range is available in an array of different colours, all of which are hand painted and hand waxed to a perfect finish.

Indigo Our Indigo Range lamps are sophisticated and chic.

Tapered neutral bases in either original or antique wax finish with Indigo Ink stripes in 3 ways to choose from; simple line down the middle, a zig zag corner to corner or zig zag effect down the middle.

They are simple yet effortlessly stylish and look wonderful with our latest range of coloured shades or work beautifully with our Indigo Ink feathered shade.

POLISHED COPPER - ‘HARLEQUIN’ RANGE

Harlequin Our Harlequin Metals range really make a statement and fit in to contemporary or traditional settings.

Like our Twist of Copper and Hint of Zinc ranges, they use weathered zinc, polished copper and patina’d copper as one face of the lamp. The difference in this range is in the paintwork. The Harlequin diamonds and chequered patterns make the lamp versatile.

Place it on the corner and from different directions you get a different look. The beauty of the polished copper is that it reflects, so, place a vase of roses next to it and you will see roses in your lamp. This is the beauty of the Harlequin range; versatility and style.
