SOME SAY IT

PROVEN POWERHOUSE GENETICS

For 30+ years, this sale has produced breed-leading sires—backed by unmatched consistency from Lot 1 to 120, high-accuracy sires, and proven cow families.

WE KNOW THE BUSINESS—BECAUSE WE’RE IN IT

We operate in every segment of the cattle business, not just seedstock. From conception to consumer, we’ve built cattle that meet realworld demands—featuring a practical shot of ear that works nationwide.

BUILT FOR BALANCE & MULTI-TRAIT PROFITABILITY

Balance still matters. While others chase extremes, these cattle deliver—profitable across multiple points of the supply chain while producing adaptable, high-performing females in diverse environments.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to our annual Spring Bull & Commercial Female Sale! We are honored that you would take the time to look through our offering as we know you have ample options when it comes to seedstock selection. We hope that above all else, one thing jumps out at you in the catalog, videos, and when you come on sale day and that is consistency. Our goal is simple; we want to provide bulls that are relevant to and sought after by the commercial cattleman. As our late, great friend and partner Bill Davis was so fond of reminding us, “we have to breed bulls that commercial cattlemen actually want to buy”. And we believe we have that in store for you in bulls that are attractive in their phenotype, balanced in their EPD packages, have a sheath design that is more than acceptable across the country, and data behind them that you can trust. We have confidence in the genetics behind these bulls and believe that they can and will make a difference in the future of cowherds across the country, and most importantly drive profit to the bottom line of every operation.

The cattle business continues to march in the direction of new heights that are amazing not only in the level that it has reached but in the timeframe that it has been sustained. Many of us are admittedly a little gun shy of past history, having lived through the ups and downs, but this market has a different feeling. Not to say it won’t continue to ebb and flow to some degree based on the latest news headlines or industry stories (regardless of if they are true or false) but it has reached a point that would express that we have seen a legitimate paradigm shift for the better. Have confidence in what is ahead of you as a cow/calf operator, as your driver’s seat isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. More land isn’t coming back into production, it’s easy to argue this national herd will never be rebuilt to the levels it was before, and demand for quality protein isn’t going anywhere.

One thing that is changing is the demand from the entire supply chain for known and high-quality genetics. Much like the paradigm shift of prices we have seen, we are seeing a similar one between known, proven, high-quality genetic animals with a story and a program behind them vs cattle that are just cattle. Tying yourself to an organization that can help you take that step and tell that story will be of utmost importance moving forward. Our alignment with Top Dollar Angus is part of that service we are looking to provide, as well as the addition of Kyle Caldwell to our staff, who will be the point man as we start rolling out some programs and opportunities this spring/summer that will help aide in your marketing, as needed, to help you capture the most dollars you can from your calf crop.

The bulls are outstanding, the commercial females will be lighter in volume than we normally have but certainly high in quality, and Gail’s world-famous hospitality will be present as always to make you feel welcome at the one-of-a-kind Cow Palace. We hope you can join us at Chimney Rock on March 24th and feel free to call any of us at GENEPLUS if we can be of any assistance!

Sincerely,

IN THE DETAILS THE DIFFERENCE IS

As you view the seedstock industry, there is a large disconnect between how seedstock breeders, marketers and consultants view their “reality” of the commercial cattle business and what commercial cattlemen and women actually face in the REAL REALITY of the commercial cattle business. On the contrary, for years the partners of GENEPLUS have set out a course different from the Brangus breed and the rest of the bull business. Experiencing the same trials and tribulations of ranching on a daily basis as our customers, we set out to build a product that actually worked in the real world, and for the entire business, not single segments and single traits.

Rather than surrounding ourselves with hype and pomp and circumstance or chasing extremes we have set out to produce cattle that fit MULTIPLE environments, built on balance, with true structural integrity, uncompromised fertility, and a phenotype that the market ACTUALLY accepts. As a large cattle feeder told me one time, “There is nothing better than a good Brangus and nothing worse than a bad one.”. The industry likes to feed these Brangus and Ultrablack cattle, and everyone knows the value of the females, but they must come in the right package.

Too much frame, not enough muscle shape, and too much sheath and navel continue to encompass a large percentage of the Brangus population, leading to the “eared discount” many are used to. But as you step back and really analyze the market and discounts, was the discount because of the ear? Or perhaps because of the cattle behind the ear? We believe the latter.

We have multiple customers topping respective markets on their sale day from multiple regions. From cattle selling on Superior in states like Nevada, Kansas, and Florida, to brick and mortar auction markets like the nation’s largest in Joplin Regional Stockyards, we consistently receive reports of success of our customers, at various weights and in various regions.

This balance and industry acceptance leads to relationships with more customers and entities like Top Dollar Angus. We never sat out to chase carcass extremes, we set out for multi-trait balance, but in a structured and disciplined breeding program, good results come from years of consistency and Top Dollar is a result of that. Come see the difference BALANCE can make in your program.

COME SEE THE DIFFERENCE FOCUSING ON THE DETAILS MAKES.

TRUCKING LOCATIONS AVAILABLE FREE

In order to best serve our customers, we will offer free trucking on bulls to GENEPLUS Partner Ranches at no expense to the buyer. It is our goal that having these central drop points will allow buyers the opportunity to pick up their cattle closer to home if unable to haul them from the sale, or if buying online or sight unseen. If there is trucking needed beyond the specified drop point the expense will become the responsibility of the buyer at that time but GENEPLUS will be

happy to facilitate further arrangements as needed. Prior to sale day we will have days assigned and times given for cattle to be picked up at each ranch location. If cattle are not picked up on the specified days, they will be maintained at the ranch for a nominal fee to cover feed and health expenses.

If you would like to visit about this option further, please call Cody, Vern or the GENEPLUS office.

*Free trucking to central points available on all bull sales. Commercial females may be included as space allows.

*Discount does not apply to commercial females 5%

In order to aide our customers in their purchasing decisions GENEPLUS will offer a 5% discount on all purchases of 10 bulls or more through the GENEPLUS at Chimney Rock Cattle Company sale on March 24, 2026*

Please contact GENEPLUS personnel with any questions regarding this program.

SALE INFORMATION

CATTLE LOAD OUT

Cattle will be available for load out immediately after the bull sale and proper settlement has been made on purchases. If you wish to loadout on Wednesday or at a later date please note that when you check-out. Arrangements can then be made to have your cattle ready when you arrive.

SAVE SHIPPING AND HANDLING

You can save shipping and handling charges by picking up semen that you will need for your spring breeding season at the Chimney Rock Cattle Company Sale. Representatives from either GENEPLUS or Show Me Genetics will be available sale day to fill your orders. We would ask that you keep your orders to goblet increments of 5’s or 10’s so that we can avoid excessive handling of semen. Please contact GENEPLUS at 1-877-436-3877 to place your order prior to the sale to assure we have enough semen on hand and available sale day.

SALE ORDER

The cattle will not sell in numerical lot order. We will have a printed sale order prior to the sale. Please note that the bulls and commercial females will be presented on video.

GENETIC CONDITION POLICY

Any animals that are confirmed as carriers of a genetic condition such as DD, developmental duplication, will be listed above their pedigrees as DDC. Any animals we are still waiting test results on will be listed DDPC. All other animals have been either confirmed free of known genetic conditions by test results or from pedigree analysis.

TRUSTED PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

We are extremely dedicated to providing our customers the genetics needed to positively impact their bottom line. As the motto of GENEPLUS states, “A Step Ahead. The Advantage You Can Trust”, we take very seriously the process of collecting phenotypic information and understand its fundamental importance and the role performance information and proper contemporary grouping play in providing the breed association with the most correct and current information possible, which in turn impacts the EPD’s you see directly. We will never compromise the integrity of our data.

All of the weights in this offering were taken by a scale, no tapes or windshield guesses. The ultrasound information was collected by David Aborn and processed through a certified CUP Lab prior to submission at IBBA.

The industry has changed over time and a process which was once dominated by visual appraisal, then performance testing and contemporary grouping now has the ability to roll all of the information into a scope of genomically enhanced EPD’s. This gives the customer a tremendous edge in the accuracy of EPD’s and the assurance of parentage, thus dramatically improving the selection process for the future of their ranching enterprise. We encourage you to utilize these tools. For your convenience we have listed the current non-parent Brangus average EPD’s in this catalog for reference and comparison on how an individual compares to the average of the breed in any trait.

PARTIAL BREEDING GUARANTEE

All bulls selling in this sale have passed a thorough and stringent BSE (Breeding Soundness Evaluation) by Dr. Craig Fontenot of Town & Country Animal Clinic. Each bull selling has passed Dr. Craig Fontenot’s tests and is considered a satisfactory potential breeder. All bulls are guaranteed as breeding bulls through the first breeding season from

the date of purchase. Please keep in mind that we expect the bull (s) to be treated with proper animal husbandry and that they are young bulls and require some additional management compared to mature bulls. Proper management should include the following requirements: 12 to 15 month old bulls at time of sale are utilized in a ratio of one bull to 15 cows and 16 to 20 month old bulls one bull to 20 cows. Furthermore, if these requirements are not adhered to or these bulls are placed in service or are housed until time of service with mature bulls then GENEPLUS will not stand behind this breeding guarantee.

If a problem does arise please contact GENEPLUS, Cody Gariss 417-2621257 or Vern Suhn 620-583-3706, as soon as any question occurs as to a bull’s breeding soundness. GENEPLUS will evaluate the problem, consult with a veterinarian if needed and if replacement is required will replace with a bull of equal quality. If a replacement bull is not available GENEPLUS will issue a credit for a future GENEPLUS sale. Please contact us before shipping any bulls. Shipping an animal you feel is unsatisfactory before contacting GENEPLUS will void our guarantee.

This is a partial breeding guarantee and is not designed to mirror that of an insurance policy to stand death loss, debilitating physical injury, etc. If full morbidity or mortality coverage over and above this GENEPLUS breeding guarantee is desired we encourage you to contact Marcus Creasy, Adams & Creasy Insurance, at (501) 206-2281.

MAINTENANCE AFTER THE SALE

CRC will work with customers on delivery of cattle in an effort to have the cattle delivered to customers as soon as possible after the sale. However, if you are not ready for the cattle at this time we will maintain the cattle at the ranch for a period of time until you are ready for them. A nominal fee of $5.50 per day will be charged plus any veterinarian charges incurred will be billed. Cattle will be maintained on a growing ration in grass traps. Cattle become the buyer’s responsibility immediately after the sale. CRC or GENEPLUS is not responsible for insurance costs or death.

TRUCKING

At the conclusion of the sale or as soon as possible following the sale if purchases are made via video or sight unseen agreement; please notify the sales staff as to specific instructions about cattle delivery. If you request our assistance the GENEPLUS staff will make every effort to help coordinate the most reliable and economical trucking available. We will offer free trucking on bulls to GENEPLUS Partner Ranches at no expense to the buyer. Please make note that many of the animals were in different contemporary groupings at weaning; therefore, it is not fair to compare birth, weaning and yearling weights from one herd to another.

EPD’S

Expected Progeny Difference (EPDs) is the best estimate of an animal’s genetic merit for a particular trait. It takes into account the animal’s own performance compared with its contemporaries and the performance of it’s relatives compared against their contemporaries.

Birth Weight (BW) EPD predicts calf size and calving ease.

Weaning Weight (WW) EPD predicts preweaning growth potential.

Yearling Weight (YW) EPD predicts overall growth potential.

Milk EPD predicts the maternal contribution to weaning weight of the calf through milk production, behavior, immunity and other maternal environmental factors.

Scrotal Circumference (SC) EPD predicts not only testicular size of male progeny but also daughters onset of puberty.

Ribeye Area (REA) EPD predicts total muscle.

Intramuscular Fat (IMF) EPD predicts % of intramuscular fat which is highly correlated to marbling.

TERMINAL INDEX (TI) is a bio-economic index which considers six growth and carcass-related traits, each trait weighted according to its heritability and economic importance in a feedlot situation with carcasses valued by weight, yield, and quality grade. The value is expressed in standard deviation terms, which can be difficult to comprehend. IBBA advises breeders to evaluate the percentile rank rather than the actual index value.

FERTILITY INDEX (FI) is a bio-economic index which considers six traits, each trait weighted according to its heritability and economic importance in a cow-calf enterprise. The value is expressed in standard deviation terms, which can be difficult to comprehend. IBBA advises breeders to evaluate the percentile rank rather than the actual index value.

HEIFER PREGNANCY (HP) is reported in percentile units and represents the probability of a sire’s daughters becoming pregnant during their first breeding season compared to daughters of other sires.

STAYABILITY (ST) is reported in percentile units and represents the probability that a cow will have five consecutive calves compared to her yearling contemporaries.

PERFORMANCE

Individual performance data is provided as supplementary information as EPDs provide more reliable evaluation of genetics differences of animals.

Actual Birth Weight (BW) are reported.

Scrotal Circumference (SC) is adjusted to 365 days

Brangus EPDs are calculated by Neogen® and are part of a program called the National Cattle Evaluation (NCE).

EPD PERCENTILE RANKINGS

Individual ranking relative to the entire breed population on a specific trait, represented in the form of a percentage, with 1% being best and 99% being worst.

Top Dollar Angus - TDA logo indicates bull’s whose progeny will be eligible for Top Dollar Angus certification based on TDA assessment and evaluation.

Genomically Enhanced EPD’s

Sire parentage has been verified and GE-EPD’s will be available March 1st

BECAUSE YOUR CALVES GENETICS MATTER.

In the fall of 2024, we were approached by Top Dollar Angus, the nation’s largest feeder cattle certification program, and quickly jumped at the opportunity to give our genetics and our customers a bigger stage on sale day, entering into some of the leading feedlot procurement rooms in the country. Five months later we have successfully run multiple customers’ cattle through this process and found it to be an easy and efficient progression and more importantly one that adds value and opportunity for our customers. As you view this catalog, we have marked the bulls with the Top Dollar logo that will qualify for this program going forward. While there are many opportunities in the business, there are no silver bullets, however this is a tool in the toolbox that may fit some of our customers and we encourage each one to evaluate their process and program and see if it works for them. As always, we are happy to visit with any information you may have about the TDA program and process.

Learn how Top Dollar Angus helps qualified calves earn a $24/head Premium on average. Nate Smith, TDA General Manager, 620-546-4839

If you are looking to add extra value to your feeder cattle I recommend you give Nate a call at Top Dollar Angus to see if you qualify. We sold our calves at Fort Scott Livestock January 18th and ran them through TDA and the process was very simple and affordable to get our cattle exposed to more potential buyers. As a producer we not only select bulls that add feedlot performance and carcass merit, we also select for maternal traits to develop heifers to retain in our herd. With the help of Cody and GENEPLUS our Brangus and Ultrablack bulls have certified us in the top 9% with Top Dollar Angus.

James Crow, Crow & Crow Farms, Asbury, MO

I ran my yearling steers through the Top Dollar verification process and sold them on Superior in early January. I believe going through Top Dollar added $4-$5/hundred to the selling price. The process was easy and rewarding for me being able to capture a premium on these cattle without having to feed them. We all know right now the market is good on everything, but when it backs up, the premiums from a program like this will make an even bigger impact and be a huge difference on the bottom line.

Delmar Snyder, Snyder Cattle Co., Coldwater, KS

All Top Dollar Angus qualified bulls are carrying the TDA logo.

COMING TWO BULL OFFERING AVERAGES

INNOVATIVE SCORING SYSTEMS

At GENEPLUS, we’ve always aimed to stay ahead of industry changes and provide customers with practical tools to make better breeding decisions. We were the first to use a star rating for bull disposition, and in this catalog we’ve taken another step forward by adding star ratings for three key traits: Calving Ease, Maternal, and % Retail Product. These scores, ranked 1–5, are not a replacement for EPDs but rather an enhancement—drawing from our knowledge of sire and female lines, hands-on ranch experience, and a cattleman’s perspective to help customers make the most accurate assessments possible.

BALANCED TRAIT CATTLE

The yearling bulls in this sale represent what we believe the future of the business desires. Balanced trait cattle that combine calving ease, growth, maternal excellence, and carcass merit that allow their daughters to be retained as replacements for years to come, their steer mates to grow and gain fast and efficiently and hang a carcass on the rail in the upper 2/3 choice or higher, gathering multiple premiums along the way. We have never and will never single-trait select. We believe your operation needs bulls that can hit all the marks and you will find those bulls in the following pages.

RISING STAR, PROVEN PATH

Built on a history few can rival, 30N56 comes from a cow family that has its own page in history in the Brangus breed over the past two decades. With cows stacked in his pedigree like 30A, the dam of Business Line, 30X5, the dam of Trail Boss, 30M, who appears in more pedigrees than we can count including the aforementioned as well as being the granddam of Signal and Beacon, and 30G25, who is the next rising star of the cow family, the recipe here is built for success. Expressing her performance, carcass merit, and extra shot of maternal to her progeny and having been the high selling female in the fall 2025 sale at CRC to CJC and Barnett Cattle Co at $32,000, 30G25 is just beginning to write her story and 30N56 will show why.

An individual who is deep hearted, bold sprung, and balanced from the side. He stands correctly on his feet and legs, with ample width and dimension behind and moving with the presence and power of a herd sire. His data expresses the balance he presents in person with top 35% or better rankings for CED, WW, YW, TM, SC, REA, IMF and TI. Additionally, he possesses

G+ GRIDMAKER 40N20

SUHN’S TRAIL BOSS 30B3

an impressive collection of top 20% or higher repro rankings for HP, STAY, FI, BB, & NC. As we continue to expect to do more with less in this business, 30N56 provides that opportunity.

Sired by Darkhorse, whose progeny continues to impress in their consistency, sheath design, performance, and overall nationwide-type phenotypic appeal, 30N56 is his first headlining son and represents the next generation of his sire well. An R# herd sire, 30N56, should fit the bill for a wide range of breeders who are serious about the business and can work on Brangus and UB alike. A bull who can cover a lot of bases, with a highly consistent sire, built on a multi-generational herd-sire producing cow family with true maternal heritage, a correct and marketable sheath design, and the look and feel of a breeding bull in an R# package. With traits that have been sought by breeders across the country don’t miss this opportunity.

Selling terms are the buyer’s option. A) Selling 2/3 interest and full possession. CRC will retain 1/3 semen interest. OR B) Selling full interest and full possession, with CRC retaining the rights to 400 units of semen at the cost of production for in-herd use only.

HERD SIRE CENTRAL

A true no-holes type individual with chart topping EPD’s and a pedigree that could write a book. 70N2 balances up correctly in his combination of rib, muscle, structure, angularity, and sheath design and does so with tremendous fluidity on the move. He’s one who impresses in the pen and becomes more impressive when you look at his paper, marking 9 traits in the top 5% in addition to another 4 in the top 30% or better. When you look at a bull who has the opportunity to impact performance, maternal, & carcass, few can rival his compilation.

The impressive indicators 70N2 has become easy to explain when you analyze his pedigree, as he stacks two great sires on top of one the most productive UB1 females in the breed’s recent times. Masterpiece needs no introduction, his influence remains as relevant as ever and he will go down as one of the greatest sires ever in this breed for his ability to upgrade his progeny every time. Signals are similar to Masterpiece in that regard, breeding them better and over an extended period of time through multiple trait excellence. Signal made good bulls and even

SIGNAL 70N3

better females, and the 70K4 female is just one of a great flush of females out of the female who has a special place at LM in 70D1. Her second bull was named Intrigue and selected by Vern Suhn to be a herd sire in Eureka, and from there she has made a number of great ones, including 70K5 who sold as a heifer calf to QVF, going on to do a great job there before landing in North Carolina with Steve Whitley, as well as the herd sire Bogart, whose first progeny at Schmidt’s look outstanding. 70D1 earned her stripes and is recognized as a rock of consistency. Regardless of where you are in your breeding program, there is still room for one that you can rely on to bat above average every time, and 70N2 is that. One that will keep your cull pen light your sale pens full, the intangibles he brings will add value and dollars to any bottom line.

COMPLETE & CORRECT

A herd sire prospect who earned his spot amongst the elite the old-fashioned way, through performance and phenotypic excellence instead of unmerited pomp & circumstance based on what he was “supposed” to be. 302K35 comes at you like a truck as a big bodied, rugged made individual with a world of shape, substance, and symmetry. Excelling in his structure and correct in his angles, he is built to move and does so with true base width, expression, and actual red meat and muscle shape, not fat that appears to be muscle. In the chase for carcass extremes, many in the seedstock business have seemed to forget what muscle really is, 302N2 will remind you from his chest floor to his rear stifle. Genetically 302N2 possesses a very functional package with an elite calving ease presentation followed by his WW ratio of 111, the gas in his tank is apparent and time will prove to push his top 30% and better growth EPD’s up with him. While his REA is in the top 15% and IMF is in the top 25%, even more impressive is his string of indexes, all which land in the top 20% or better. Sired by Masterpiece, who again shows his phenomenal breeding ability, and by a dam sired by Signal, the new favorite cross is apparent in Masterpiece x Signal. For the historians in the crowd, the 302 lineage that 302N2 hails from traces back to one of Nic’s all-time favorite cows in 302L9 and one of Bill Davis’

initial female purchases in 302H6, who at the time was one of the top 5 females in the Camp Cooley program, and also the granddam of who would later become another legendary herd sire in Three D. The value of EPD’s in the seedstock business is built on the backs of bulls like this. We have seen a trend that has become heavily weighted in ET production, sometimes for the right reasons, many times not, but regardless the contribution that ET progeny makes in the genetic evaluation system is minimal compared to bulls like this. While so much of an ET calf’s EPD’s come from its parents, bulls like 302N2 must earn their accolades and he has done just that. Never dismiss the value of a cow that raises her own calf. Sounds simple, but unfortunately it is becoming a rarity across many programs. At GENEPLUS we still believe in the value of high-quality running cows. We don’t want a pasture full of “donors” that never calve and recipients. We want cows that we can AI and they themselves can excel in real world environments. Some may call it old fashioned; we call it the cow business. Don’t miss out on this one, he rose to the top to pen with the best of the best, and when you see him you’ll see why.

PREDICTABLE, PROFITABLE

The race for the next generation sometimes runs too fast past sires, dams, and maternal sires who deserve more time and attention than they get. Some may call it old school, some may call it boring, but in the real-world commercial cattlemen call it profit when mature individuals are still working in their cowherd well past the average age of their contemporaries, and that is exactly what we find here. 404N23 brings together the timeless Trail Boss, whose modest start as a herd sire was quickly surpassed with a wide-ranging appeal for both his sons and daughters. Initially sampled in the Suhn and Cavender programs, he is now a household name who will go down as a legendary sire, and still highly relevant as a deceased sire who would now be 12 years of age. The dam of 404N23 also brings a high-accuracy pedigree to the table with the likes of Brickhouse and Guardian behind her. 404F5 is one of the top producing females at Schmidt’s well immersed in the donor program there with lots of progeny on the way, and represents what we love about the Brickhouse daughters. Her dam is 404A, who was the past anchor donor at Schmidt’s, later selling for $65,000 as a feature female selling to our friends David Wood and Wat Johnston in 2019.

As we analyze 404N23 as an individual we see a bull who balances up exceptionally well from head to

G+ ALLIANCE 404N24

tail phenotypically, and the more you study the more you like. Genetically, his EPD’s represent the same balance, parking 12 traits in the top 35% or better including WW, YW, SC, REA, IMF, HP, STAY, FI, TI, & NC. And to answer the question head-on, yes his Milk is a 0, yes that is the hardest trait to measure, and nowe don’t believe that is indicative whatsoever of what you will see. Trail Boss daughters are phenomenal in production, how his Milk number is not higher may be the 8th wonder of the world. And Brickhouse daughters could not have a better udder structure across the board than they do - his daughters may be the most consistent in terms of their design of all the sires we have seen in the past decade. So YES, buy with confidence, 404N23 will make daughters and you will love them.

There is value in proven genetics. The drive for “turning generations” through unproven progeny is very similar to the California Gold Rush of the 1840’s-50’s; most miners struck out, and more people got rich mining the miners than mining the gold. The known has more value than the unknown, and this herd sire isn’t a mating by a brand-new bull and heifer that has never actually calved, these are genetics replicated because we know they work. Trust the process, trust the seedstock provider, and the results will follow, consistently.

Selling 2/3 interest and full possession. SF will retain 1/3 semen interest.

GROUND-POUNDING HERD SIRE

A unique pedigree and a unique creature appears in 919N16, and one sure to find friends in himself and his 4 brothers. A bull you can’t miss in your walk down the alley. His presence commands attention as a long spined, massive bodied individual who travels well, stands on plenty of foot and bone and looks like one whose progeny will certainly put some pressure on the scales on sale day.

Sired by LT Chosen, an outcross sire hailing from the Lindskov LT Ranch-one of the premier family Angus operations in America, his performance numbers don’t wow you as a result of bringing new genetics with no previous ties into the IBBA system, but rest assured, those numbers will change as progeny is recorded as evidenced by the quality, consistency, and performance of he and his brothers.

The dam of 919N16 is on the verge of breakout success at CRC as one of the elite young donors in the herd, with a picture perfect udder and 3 generations of stellar dams behind her, including her dam, 919C5 whose calving interval of 8@369 days and should be 9 head

shortly after this catalog is printed. Brickhouse found his niche back on Guardian daughters and 919H14 is no exception. The Brickhouse daughters are favorites everywhere they are, as he is one of the most underrated female makers in the breed, and 919H14 would be at the top of any class she is in anywhere.

The opportunity here is relatively simple. 919N16 is a herd sire who will add body, performance, do-ability, and REAL-WORLD FERTILITY in a pedigree package that is recognizable but an outcross to many programs in the breed. If making bulls for commercial cowboys is your business this option is as safe as they come. His sons will be highly marketable, and their offspring will make the type of steers your customers need to sell and the type of heifers they need to retain. Too often the seedstock business forgets who their customer is and what their needs are. 919N16 will fit their needs and keep your customers coming back for more.

Selling terms are the buyer’s option. A) Selling 2/3 interest and full possession. CRC will retain 1/3 semen interest. OR B) Selling full interest and full possession, with CRC retaining the rights to 400 units of semen at the cost of production for in-herd use only.

COMMERCIAL FEMALES

The GENEPLUS partners, as well as our commercial customers that have consigned females to this offering, continually strive to offer the industry the highest quality and most genetically superior commercial females available. We utilize the majority of tools available to us such as AI’ing to the most genetically superior calving ease bulls, the utilization of genetics that have been parent verified, many of which have genomically enhanced EPD’s, plus data compilation and transfer to the IBBA from birth to weaning to more accurately identify the lineage of the genetics behind this offering. We do, however, in no way quantify the

progeny of these commercial genetics to be kept as intact males for use as sires in the industry. We are definitely proud of what we are offering, and without a doubt feel they are an asset to generate increased productivity for the programs purchasing them. It is our belief that for the beef industry to stay competitive with the other protein sources available that the male progeny from this genetic pool being offered do not meet the standards necessary to move our industry forward to use as breeding bulls and should be made steers as we intended.

HOW THEY WILL SELL

Heifers will be penned at the sale site in pens ranging in number from 10 to 25 head. We will video the cattle as a pen and will show that video as that pen of cattle is being sold. The cattle will not be run through the ring but as stated earlier most can be viewed at the sale site prior to the sale in their pen. We will produce a sale order for cattle selling and each pen will be split into several groups. As each pen comes up for sale we will sell the first group and

the winning bidder will have, at the discretion of the sale personnel and auctioneer, the right to purchase the next group of cattle in that pen and each succeeding group of cattle in that pen until that pen is sold. If the purchaser does not take the option to buy the next group of cattle that group will be sold and, at our discretion, that buyer will be given an option until that pen is sold and we proceed onto the next pen of females.

Terms

Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold, but it shall be the obligation of the seller to see that animals are fed and cared for, until loaded for shipment or until the expiration of 48 hours after the sale, whichever occurs first. Interstate health papers suitable for interstate shipment will be furnished on all animals as required by federal and state regulations.

Announcements

Any changes from the information of any kind in this catalog will be provided in a sale day supplement sheet or announced from the auction block and such information shall take precedence over cataloged information.

Breeding Guarantee

1. The seller guarantees all animals to be breeders with the exception of:

a) Calves under 12 months of age at the time of sale;

b) animals shown by purchaser after sale in which the breeding guaranteed (if any) shall be agreed upon between the seller and the buyer;

c) animals who suffer injury or disease following the sale;

d) animals subjected to gross negligence by willful misconduct on the part of the purchaser.

2. The seller guarantees that all bulls are breeders for a period of 90 days following the initial turnout date with buyers’ herd as long as this occurs within 60 days of date of sale. Or in the case of a bull purchased in the fall and not used until spring or vice versa they will be guaranteed for the 90 days from that first date as long as bulls have been kept in good condition and not run with other older mature herd bulls. This only applies to bulls that are at least 12 months old at time of sale and have not been allowed to run with the herd until at least 14 months of age. Seller does not guarantee death loss or injury.

Any bull which settles cows by natural service and passes a fertility test made by competent veterinarians, mutually agreed upon by buyer and seller, during any six-month period of trial (provided for in paragraph 2 of the section of these sales terms and conditions entitled “Option and Privilege of Return and Adjustment”), shall be considered a breeder unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and the seller. The seller makes no guarantees with respect to the bull’s ability to freeze semen.

3. Cows with calves at their side are presumed to be breeders with no further fertility guarantee.

4. “Safe-in-calf” females are guaranteed by the seller to have been examined by a competent veterinarian or reproductive technician and determined to be safe-in-calf by examination or other proven method (e.g., ultrasound, pregnancy blood tests, and rectal palpation).

5. Exposed females are not guaranteed to be with calf.

6. “Open” females are guaranteed by the seller to be without calf.

7. Donor females:

a.) Unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and the seller, a female that has been used in an embryo transfer program is not guaranteed to be a breeder after the date of the sale.

b.) Unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and the seller, a female is not guaranteed to be a breeder after the date of the sale, when that female is to be used, or attempted to be used, in an embryo transfer program.

c.) Virgin, open heifers that are placed in IVF or conventional embryo transfer prior to being confirmed bred will void any seller’s guarantee of breeding or embryo production.

8. The seller makes the following guarantees with respect to all “pregnant recipients”: (i) that the female is pregnant, (ii) that the resulting calf is of the pedigree represented, and (iii) that the resulting calf is of the sex represented (if so represented).

Semen

1. Unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and the seller, with respect to the sale of semen the seller makes no guarantees with respect to the performance or characteristics of such semen and the buyer is purchasing such semen “as is.”

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Embryos

1. Embryos being offered for sale will be sold “as is” unless the seller provides additional guarantees.

Privileges of Return or Adjustment:

Options

1. With the exception of any applicable transportation expenses described herein, a seller shall never be liable to a buyer for an amount greater than the original selling price of any animal sold under these Sales Terms and Conditions.

2. Unless otherwise stated, all claims for adjustment or refund must be made in writing to GENEPLUS within 180 days following the sale of the animal in question.

3.If an animal is claimed to be a non-breeder, the animal may be returned to the seller if it is in good condition and complies with the health requirements of the seller’s state. At the option of the buyer, the seller may issue a credit to the buyer for use in a future purchase or provide an animal of equal quality subject to the approval of buyer. If the buyer exercises either such option, the claim shall be deemed fully and satisfactorily resolved for an animal of equal quality but may not constitute the full purchase price of the original purchase. The seller does have the option on any animal’s claimed to be a non-breeder that the buyer, at his expense, return the animal to the seller and the seller has 180 days from the date the animal is returned to the seller’s ranch to conduct a trial to demonstrate the returned animal is a breeder. If the animal is confirmed to be a breeder during the test trial this shall be deemed full satisfaction and settlement of the claim. Any expense incurred for transporting an animal claimed to be a nonbreeder will be the responsibility of the buyer.

4. If a female sold as “safe in calf” proves not to be in calf, the seller must make a satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer or, at the buyer’s option, either credit can be given for the purchase price of the female or a satisfactory animal agreed on by both parties to replace original female. Any claim for adjustment under this paragraph must be made in writing to GENEPLUS within 60 days of date of sale.

5.If a female represented as “safe in calf” to a certain bull at the time of sale proves to have been bred to a different bull, the seller must make a satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer. Any claim for adjustment or refund under this paragraph must be made in writing to GENEPLUS on or before the first anniversary of the date of sale.

6. If a female sold as “open” proves to be with calf, the buyer may return the animal to the farm of the seller prior to calving for a credit of the full purchase price or for another animal of equal value, whichever is acceptable to the buyer. The Seller is

responsible for all transportation expenses.

7. If an animal (including the offspring of a pregnant recipient) is sold and through parentage verification is proven to have incorrect parentage, as represented by the animal’s certificate of registration and for which correct parentage can be determined, the seller is obligated to make satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price only to the buyer or, at the buyer’s option, credit the purchase price upon the return of the animal to the farm of the seller. Any claim for adjustment or credit under this paragraph must be made in writing to GENEPLUS on or before the first anniversary of the date of the sale. Those animals upon which parentage verification has been recorded with the IBBA will be so noted in the sale catalog or in a supplement sheet. At time of purchase it becomes the buyer’s responsibility to adhere to the rules of the IBBA regarding parentage verification for animals used for semen and embryo production.

8. If the resulting calf of a pregnancy is not of the sex represented at the time of the sale, the seller is obligated to make a satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer or, at the buyer’s option, credit the purchase price upon the return of the animal to the farm of the seller. Any claim for adjustment or credit under this paragraph must be made in writing to GENEPLUS on or before the first anniversary date of the sale.

9. Unless stated otherwise, all transportation expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the buyer, except that the seller will be responsible for transportation costs in excess of the distance between the buyer’s farm and the location where the sale took place.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Other than the guarantees and warranties stated above, no other warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction.

Neither GENEPLUS, the ranch the sale is being held on, nor any other sale consultant or persons connected with the management of this GENEPLUS sale, assumes any liability, legal or otherwise.
