Oiling the Chain We recommend the conveyor chain on your Trout River live bottom be oiled daily. This involves more than just turning on the oiler. • • •

Conveyor must be turned on Oiler on/off must be turned on After oiler is turned on: o Be sure oiler brushes on both sides are in contact with chain (Figure 1), and oiling sufficiently o Through inspection doors observe chain as it runs, chain must be well lubricated before shutting off oiler (Figure 2) If chain is full of dirt or debris, and oil is not able to reach the areas of the chain that need lubrication, chain should be pressure washed o After pressure washing be sure to oil chain If oilers are not oiling sufficiently, or brushes need to be adjusted see the Setting the Chain Oiler procedure
