Nothing Happens
Before Time by Dr. Primrose Cameron
H
ow many of you couldn’t wait to be a teenager? Then when you were a teenager, you couldn’t wait to be an adult? But then being 18 wasn’t as cool as being 21 and the list goes on and on. The fact of the matter is, just like my grandmother always says: “nothing happens before time.”
And be patient, age is not the only thing that operates on its own time. Dr. Primrose Cameron Motivational Speaker-Empowerment Coach-Facilitator www.primrosecameron.com
Jeremiah 29:11 states: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God prepared you for greatness before you knew of your existence. When it is meant to happen, it definitely will. But there are steps that you can take. Just like growing older, your time for prosperity and success, is inevitable. Although we spend a lot of time, setting goals and making plans, the results of our work is so much bigger then we could have ever imagined. But we must put in the work to see the results. I encourage you to spend this month in reflection versus hesitation and walk towards your greatness. Be faithful and a believer of His word. He speaks truth and wants the best for His people. Be positive in your dealings with others. Positive energy brings positive energy. Be kind, no good deed goes unnoticed. Your kindness will be returned in various forms.

Triumphant Magazine
“God is not an incomplete God, so He won’t plant something within you, that He doesn’t prepare you, and equip you to finish!”
ome of us may be familiar with a scripture, commonly used by authors, publishing companies, and encouraging preachers. The scripture in that reads: And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. (KJV) Habakkuk 2:2. For the past twelve months, Theresa Jordan has been writing the vision, as given to her by God, and she is running with it! My husband and I had the opportunity to fellowship with Theresa at her very first Adult Prom on Saturday, September 29th, and the next day, we chatted with her about Triumphant Magazine. October 2018 celebrates the birth of this vision, while giving Praise to our all-knowing God, who saw these pages unfold a long time ago.
author. The book encouraged the reader to record and proclaim “I AM” in a variety of scenarios. Within the pages of the book, Theresa Jordan wrote: “I am going to have Triumphant Magazine”. As she continues to reflect on this first step, she states, “The only mistake I made with that affirmation was that I didn’t date it.” Wisdom! “Needless to say, I spoke to someone about my vision and she believed in what I told her I wanted to do, and she gave me two weeks to do it! I knew my pastor, Pastor Larry Chavers, Sr., had 18 years of service at St. James M. B. Church Sandhill-Osteen and Evangelist Althea Ross-Chavers was a tenyear survivor of breast cancer at the time. I wanted to focus on their story, while encouraging other churches to feature THEIR pastors and first lady on the cover. That’s what started it. We launched Triumphant Magazine in October of 2017”.
Angie BEE - What made you decide to publish a magazine? Theresa - “In 2014 our church was celebrating their 100th year, and I couldn’t find no one to cover the story. I called local new stations and was told “If it’s not bad news, we can’t cover it”. Eventually, the West Volusia Beacon in Deland, Florida published the story, but by that time, God wouldn’t allow me to shake this feeling out of my Spirit. That feeling remained in my belly for the next three years. “Sometimes you try to figure out what God wants you to do, and the way you figure it out is that He won’t let you shake it until you bring it to fruition. So in 2016, I created a vision-board party for women to determine what they wanted to write down for their vision. But God started with me first, and at that party I wrote that I want to have Triumphant Magazine and I wanted to start it by July 2017”.
Then the LORD said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. (NLT) Angie BEE – What’s been your favorite aspect of publishing the magazine, each month?
Later that summer, Theresa traveled to Orlando and purchased a motivational journal book from a local

Theresa – “I would say getting to know all the wonderful people, and also that it enhances me, as a
woman of God! Being able to talk to the different people and being able to feature their information so that others can see the hidden treasures around us. A lot of times these treasures are covered, until we put that information out there”. Triumphant is an exceptional vehicle to make that happen for businesses, churches, politicians, communities, and schools.
What motivated me was the power in my tongue. We speak life and death, and I spoke about the magazine for so long!
Theresa has certainly run to share these stories of these hidden treasures that she has uncovered! In each monthly issue, there has been a praise report attached to the story. The debut issue shared a cancer survival story, during cancer awareness month. The April issue proclaimed a true love story, written by God. And the August issue introduced God-fearing servants, attempting to effect change in their local Florida political climates. Triumphant Magazine is running to take the correct message to others. Angie BEE – What have been some of your challenges? Theresa – “I felt that God was preparing me all along, because after six months I made an executive decision to do everything on my own. I felt that was best solution for Triumphant Magazine to continue moving forward in the direction God would have it.”
Angie BEE: What does your family think of your endeavor? Theresa: “What motivated me was the power in my tongue. We speak life and death, and I spoke about the magazine for so long! My husband and daughter’s Godfather commented on it, and then my brother in law was the third person confirmed it. My husband said “Hey, you are doing a great job!” June issue had Joyce Cusack, and he never really knew who she was until featured in Triumphant Magazine. My lovely Nana called in January to say, “I didn’t get my magazine” and it made me feel so good to know that she looked forward to receiving them monthly. My mother loves getting them too, she reads the magazine from the front to the back. Additionally, my mother has a collection from October 2017 to September 2018, and that really means the world to me.
God’s hand upon this endeavor continues to be reflected, as Theresa shares how this setback was actually beneficial for the growth of the magazine. “I felt that God was preparing me all along, and the LORD allowed even the bad to work out for my good. Theresa continues by proclaiming: “God is not an incomplete God, so He won’t plant something within you, that He doesn’t prepare you, and equip you to finish!” (Reference Ephesians 2:10). Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. (NIV) Triumphant is a Christian-based magazine. “I am a Christian woman of God, and I want to produce a magazine that I would enjoy reading, and that gives glory to God”, Theresa states.

churches. Churches are so separate, doing their own things. Churches need to know about these things, and as children of God, we need to be in fellowship with one another and find out what we are doing; to develop more togetherness. I hope this magazine will be a vehicle to do this”. Theresa continues to share her dream for the future of her magazine. “I want to have Triumphant go national! I want people to purchase in different churches and communities in various cities across the country. I want a specific Triumphant Magazine for the state that it is sold in, and then connect those churches and communities with others across the country. You should be able to know how to contact a church and business in a different state, such as a national church directory and national business directory!” Theresa considers several business owners and ministry leaders as her mentors. “I appreciate Kim from Klassy Kouture, Dr. Evelyn Bethune, Faye Henderson, Donna Gray-Banks, Kenisha Evans Wilson and Dr. Primrose Cameron. by Theresa Jordan ike Jackson life was turned literally upside down at the age of 44. Mike and his wife, Leighetta, were traveling back from Fort Pierce, Florida. Mike began to experience excruciating pain and it wasn’t like anything he encountered before in his Life. His wife wanted to know, if he wanted to go to hospital in Fort Pierce, but Mike was persistent about saying, he wanted to be able to see his daughter, Vashti in Daytona Beach. Daytona Beach is where the couple resides. Mike was determined to hug and love on his daughter. He informed her that “Daddy loves you.” before presiding to the hospital. Because of the pain intensifying, Mike admits that
“Leighetta took Mike to the hospital and he spent 13 hours in the emergency room. The hospital was trying to get his pain under control, and he received every type of pain pill you could possibly think of. “

is why it really got his attention. He mentioned that his tolerance level for pain was always high, but if he had to rate his pain, it went from 20 to 1000 within seconds. Jackson proceeded to tell me about what happened to him prior to this incident. He was standing at his mother’s resting place, and because he had a praying mother. She had a conversation with God, and was saying, “My son is sick, and he doesn’t know it. I need you to hurt my son to make him go to the doctor. Because he’s not going to go, if you don’t hurt him.”
Mike went into the bathroom and screamed as loud as he could. The Lord began speaking to him and stated, “You shall live and not die.” Mike collectively got himself together and went back in his room and informed the doctors they were going to see a miracle. To get the services needed, Mike and Leighetta, had to travel back and forward to Moffit in Tampa, Florida for treatments. Moffit is 2 ½ hours away. Jackson felt it was worth it, because the center knew each person by name and he wasn’t considered just a number there. The facility staff and doctors were very attentive to the patient’s needs. He admits that his life drastically changed; He couldn’t do anything on his own. Daily living activities were difficult. Jackson gives the credit to two great women being by his side, Leighetta and his daughter, Vashti. Vashti motivated her dad by wanting to learn how to ride her bike. She requested for her father to watch her, and this forced Mike to learn how to walk again. Despite being told, it would be impossible for him to ever walk again.
Leighetta took Mike to the hospital and he spent 13 hours in the emergency room. The hospital was trying to get his pain under control, and he received every type of pain pill you could possibly think of. Nothing worked after a significant number of hours, so the doctor informed Jackson that they couldn’t figure out what was going on with him. The doctors wanted to complete a cat scan and wanted to know if they had his permission to move forward. The cat scan came back and at that time Jackson was informed “We are going to have to admit you and we found two massive: one on your lungs and one on your pancreatic, which was stage IV. “The physicians proceeded to state your primary doctor will have to talk to you more about this matter.
Mike honestly admits with getting a notice of 4 to 5 months to live. He never anticipated getting this type of news, and months went by the devil began to mess with him. He would remind Jackson, he only had a certain amount of days to live. One day, Mike, became so frustrated that he was willing to take his own life. He jumped in his car and went to isolated place near the river. The gun was with him, and he contemplated committing suicide. When suddenly his daughter appeared before him saying “Daddy come home” and he began to think about his wife. This caused him to reconsider committing suicide, he went back home and was welcomed by his daughter, Vashti, saying “Daddy, I am glad your home.” What a powerful testimony, and Mike is a survivor of Pancreatic Cancer. He recommends that men get checked periodically because that’s the best preventive measurement.
Mike was admitted. He worked at the hospital and was very familiar with the layout. However, they brought him to the cancer floor, but he never thought anything about it. In the back of his mind, he thought the hospital was overcrowded and that was the reason he was being brought up to the cancer floor. Jackson never imagined anything else. The next morning, the doctor was standing at the nurses’ station. By that time, he saw the look on his primary doctor’s face. Jackson immediately knew something was wrong, and he looked at his wife. Mike proceeded to say, “Something is wrong, if my primary doctor is here.” The doctor came in the room and closed the door and pulled up a chair. At that time, he proceeded to say, “I’m not coming here as your doctor but as your friend.” He was notified at that time, he had only 4 to 5 months to live. After getting this unpredictable news,
Mike Jackson wants people to know that’s not about him; he is just here to give people the faith to believe in God. When everything else fails, God is always here.

Bible Study:
Is The Bible True?
by Dr. L. Ronald Durham
T
he Bible is a remarkable book -- unquestionably the world’s all-time bestseller with countless millions of copies in print and about 627 million distributed annually. The Bible is a compilation of 66 books written by over 40 separate authors from a variety of backgrounds (from lowly peasants to noble kings) over a period of at least 1,600 years. These 66 books are divided into two principle parts, the “Old Testament” (39 books) and the “New Testament” (27 books). The Bible was completed in its entirety nearly 2,000 years ago and stands today as the best-preserved literary work of all antiquity with over 24,000 ancient original New Testament manuscripts discovered thus far.
2. Does the Bible fulfill its prophecies? Unquestionably, the single greatest evidence lending to the veracity of the Bible’s claims of divine inspiration is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Since man by himself is unable to foresee future events, prophecy is a reasonable indicator of supernatural inspiration. The Bible contains more than a thousand inspired prophecies. The vast majority of these prophecies have already come to pass and can be verified by secular history. For example: Consider Ezekiel’s prophecies concerning God’s judgment against the ancient Phoenician capital of Tyre (Ezekiel, chapter 26). The prophecy states that Tyre would first be destroyed by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar. Later, it would be utterly destroyed by a coalition of nations, flattened like the top of a rock, its ruins (and even its dust) scraped and thrown into the sea, becoming a place for fishermen to spread their nets. The surrounding nations would witness Tyre’s fate and surrender without a fight. It’s a rather odd prophecy. Amazingly, the conditions of Ezekiel’s prophecy were fulfilled, even to the tiniest detail. Nebuchadnezzar sacked Tyre. Later, Alexander the Great led a coalition of nations against Tyre, demolished it, scraped it to bedrock and threw its ruins into the sea. The ancient site became (and remains to
I. Is the Bible true? If the Bible is indeed what it claims to be, the implications for us are considerable. The Bible candidly claims to be “given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Of course, the Bible is not the only book to claim divine inspiration, but it is unique in that it offers substantial evidence to back its claims. It even goes so far as to challenge its readers. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:21. What does it admonish us to do?

one-quarter of the entire New Testament. Luke is regarded as an authoritative historian -- one of the greatest of antiquity. Dr. John McRay, Professor of New Testament and Archaeology at Wheaton University in Illinois, explains, “The general consensus of both liberal and conservative scholars is that Luke is very accurate as a historian. He’s erudite, he’s eloquent, his Greek approaches classical quality, he writes as an educated man, and archaeological discoveries are showing over and over again that Luke is accurate in what he has to say.” ( John McRay, quoted by Lee Strobel, The Case For Christ, Zondervan, 1998, p. 129.)
this day) a place for local fishermen to spread their nets to dry. (For secular confirmation, see General History for Colleges and High Schools, Boston, Ginn & Co., p. 55). Prophecy is not just a phenomenon of the ancient past. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled today before our eyes. The Nation of Israel is a perfect example. They were enslaved, scattered, and suffered God’s wrath for their apostasy. The Jews were without a homeland for 1,900 years! Nevertheless, God promised the Jews that though He would remove them from the land, they would remain an identifiable people and would return to their land again. (Leviticus 26:13-16; Nehemiah 1:8-9; Deuteronomy 30:15). It is a miracle in itself that the Jews have survived and remained an identifiable people without a homeland for 1,900 years. All other nations who have ever lost their homeland became assimilated into the surrounding nations and lost their identity within a few hundred years. Yet the Jews have remained, and they miraculously returned to Israel as their official homeland in 1948. Thought: Why should the United States support the preservation of Israel? Because the nation of Israel is God’s chosen people, and we are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs.
Many of the Bible’s writers died brutal and horrible deaths in defense of their written testimony. In fact, all but one of the New Testament’s authors were executed for proclaiming and defending their testimonies ( John was spared, but forced into exile by Roman Emperor Titus). Of course, martyrdom in itself is not unique -- many people throughout history have died willingly for their beliefs. What makes these authors unique is that they were in a position to personally know the truth. Conclusion: Judge for yourself. If you don’t believe that God inspired the Bible, how do you explain it? What compelling reason do you have to reject the Bible as God’s divine revelation to man? Christians must encourage unbelievers to lay aside their philosophical disposition, examine the evidence objectively, and weigh the facts for themselves… And then ask themselves: Is the Bible true?
3. Does Archaeology prove the truth of the Bible? Yes! Archaeology has been a source of great vindication for the Bible. Renowned archaeologist Nelson Glueck is quoted as saying, “It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever nullified a single biblical reference.” For example: Consider the biblical account of Israel’s exodus from Egypt. Pharaoh chased the Israelites with an army of chariots, cornering Israel at the Red Sea. God miraculously parted the sea, allowing Israel to pass through over a land bridge. The Egyptians followed, but were drowned while in pursuit. Archaeologists have discovered a number of evidences proving the Bible’s exodus account, including chariot wheels embedded in coral along the land bridge at the bottom of the Red Sea. 4. Are the Authors Trustworthy? These were men who claimed to be inspired by God. Luke authored
