All Triton showers are guaranteed against all mechanical and electrical defects from the day you fit them. Guarantees are indicated on the product pages by these symbols:

Installing a Satellites shower These showers are quicker and easier to install than most mixer showers because the mixing unit and the remote control panel can be located independently of each other, up to 10 metres apart.

There are two installation options: 1. ‘Through the ceiling’ - the mixer unit is fitted in the loft.

Installing the shower kit 1. Screw the top bracket to the wall.

2. Mark out the entry point in the ceiling and drill a hole.

3. Cut the rail to length, slip on the chrome ceiling trim and slot the rail into the top bracket.

4. Place the lower section of the rail into the top bracket and fit the bottom bracket.

2. ‘Through the wall’ - the mixer unit is located in an airing cupboard.

5. Feed the supplied flexible pipe down through the riser rail.

6. Fit the push-fit connector to the flexible pipe and secure the connector into the bottom bracket.

7. Fit the bracket trims to complete the riser rail installation.

Fitting the mixer unit 8. Before connecting the water supplies to the mixer, fit the supplied push fit flexible connectors onto the inlet and outlet pipes.

9. Using the integral isolating valves, flush out the hot and cold supplies.

10. Secure the mixer unit in place and simply screw the flexible connectors onto the unit.

Fitting the remote control 14. Before fitting the remote control panel onto the wall, select the desired settings in the back of the unit: the first is a timer for automatic shutdown after 10 mins; the second sets the maximum temperature; the third is an economy flow setting.

15. Fit the two AAA batteries and select a location for the control panel.

16. Screw the mounting bracket onto the wall, and clip on and secure the remote control panel.

11. Connect the outlet from the mixing unit to the flexible pipe in the riser rail using the supplied push-fit elbow.

12. Wire the mixing unit cable into a 3 Amp fuse spur box.

13. To complete the mixer unit installation, lag all pipework to prevent freezing.

17. Power-up the mixing unit and register the remote control to it.

The shower is then ready to use.

Bar mixer ‘in-wall’ bracket (for concealed pipework) code: UNBMXBKT

An easy fit option that eliminates the need to measure distance between the inlet centres and accommodates a building-in depth as little as 30mm from the plasterboard face. It also comes with push fit fittings, flow limiters and filters to simplify future maintenance.

Suitable for most types of bar mixer and wall mounted bath/shower mixers with 3/4” BSP fittings including the extensive Triton range.

1. Fit the elbows to the bracket using the screws provided.

2. Secure a fixing baton to the depth required in the stud wall and fix the bracket using the screws provided.

3. Complete the pipework to the elbows and make good the walls.

4. Once the tiling is complete you simply fit the trims and push-fit the seals into the outlets, inserting flow regulators if required. You are now ready to fit and secure the bar mixer.

2. Slide the brackets onto the mounting plates and secure using the grub-screw in the base.

1. Secure the bracket mounting plates to the wall using the screws provided. Ensure the distance between the mounting plate centres is equal to the distance between the bar mixer inlet centres.

3. Slide the nut and olive onto the incoming pipework and fit the pipework into the bracket. Tighten the nut for a watertight seal.

4. You then simply push-fit the seals into the bracket outlets, inserting flow regulators if required. You are now ready to fit and secure the bar mixer.

Fittings designed to leave no exposed thread between the trim and the bar mixer.

The push-fit connections make installation even faster they also include flow limiters and filters to simplify future maintenance.

1. Complete the pipework to the bracket mounting points, leaving an excess of pipe protruding out of the wall and make good the walls and tiles.

2. Press a push-fit connector onto each pipe, screw the mounting plates onto the connectors and fix in place using the screws provided.

3. A grub screw in the mounting plate secures the connector and you can now seal the join between the mounting plate and the wall using a suitable sealant 4. You then simply push-fit the cover trims onto the mounting plates and push-fit the seals into the outlets, inserting flow regulators if required. You are now ready to fit and secure the bar mixer.

Glossary

Glossary Bar A unit of measurement of water pressure approximately equivalent to a column of water 10m high or 14.5 lbf/in (or 100 kPa) per bar.

BEAB

British Electrotechnical Approvals Board.

BEAB CARE A third party accreditation developed in recognition of the extra performance requirements of the care industry.

Built-in

A valve installed where the body is recessed in the wall.

Concentric A mixer shower with separate controls for temperature and flow arranged in a concentric fashion.

Diverter

A fitting used to control the direction of water to various outlets.

Exposed A shower that is mounted onto the finished wall surface and is not built into the wall.

Fixed Shower Head

An over head fixed height shower head.

Flow Limiter A device with moving parts which responds to variable inlet pressures to control flow at a reasonably constant rate. These are subdivided into two types: (a) Fixed - manufactured in a range of predetermined flow rate settings. (b) Variable - manually adjustable to provide different flow rate settings.

Integrated Power Showers

An all in one power shower features a pump and integrated shower control and requires a low pressure cistern fed supply of stored hot and cold water.

Manual Mixing A device which does not compensate for variations in the Valve temperature or pressure of the incoming water supplies and needs

to be adjusted manually.

Open Outlet Flow Rate

Maximum potential flow rate from mixing valve without shower fittings attached.

Pressure A pressure balancing compensatory shower mixer valve designed to maintain Compensating a constant shower temperature under variable inlet pressures but maintained

inlet temperatures.

Sequential A mixer shower with a single control for temperature, which delivers a constant flow.

Stabilised

A shower control that reacts to changes in water pressure in order to maintain a relatively constant flow and temperature at the shower outlet.

Static Pressure

The water pressure existing at a fitting when no flow is taking place.

Swing-FitTM A unique movable terminal block which enables both left or right hand side

electric cable connections.

Swivel-FitTM A unique fully reversible water inlet providing Triton Swivel-`FitTM flexibility for

new or replacement installations.

Thermostatic A device to compensate for variations in the temperature and, or pressure of Temperature Control the incoming water supplies, to maintain a selected blend temperature.

TMV3 A third party accreditation for a thermostatic mixing valve with enhanced

thermal performance complying with NHS Estates requirements.

TMV2 A third party accreditation for a thermostatic mixing valve of lesser

performance to D 08 which conform to EN 1111 and 1287 (originally

BS 1415 Part 2). These can have a maximum temperature stop which is

excluded by the requirements of D 08.
