New crew lounge is a real oasis By Lucy Chabot Reed Several industry businesses have created an oasis for yacht crew across the water. Open at 8 a.m. for breakfast with lunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Oasis closes at 6 p.m. Sponsors have handed out white rubber wristbands that grant admission to The Oasis, and more are available upon signup at the tender dock in front of Hall of Fame (floating dock No. 31), opposite the house.

Upstairs will include spa services and a quiet room for meetings or interviews. Downstairs includes a dining area, and a lounge area, as well as a covered patio by the pool. One of the sponsors has set up a satellite dome to provide free wi-fi and on-demand programs, enabling The Oasis to show the New Zealand vs. United States rugby match at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
