01 | Generative Design of Cultural Spaces AI Learning and Design Tools used : Midjourney and ChatGPT 3.5 This research project aimed to merge the concepts of cultural diversity and digital making. The approach adopted was a blend of speculative and generative design where we generated content through AI tools (such as Midjourney and ChatGPT). This content reflected how the selected cultures (in its current form) will evolve in the future. This generated culture was represented in the form of Architectural Design of an Urban Residential Space. Hence we were able to achieve an amalgamation of culture and architecture through the use of AI tools. ChatGPT was valuable in providing insights into the future as to how the cultural diversity will exist together and how the architecture, style and typology blend together to form one communal space. This helped to improve the design and be informed regarding the design, materials and construction materials. The visual tool; Midjourney gave us content on the environment, patterns and possible trends.

02 | Re-Marsh Wetlands Rehabilitation Project RE-MARSH is a modular buffer system that is designed to respond to the needs of a natural environment; rehabilitating and alleviating pressure on existing wetlands in Cairns (Queensland) from construction and agricultural runoff. It is proposed as a boardwalk that can be placed at strategic locations along waterways connected to wetlands. This way it acts a recreational space for the public while serving a purpose. The project utilizes biological processes of the native plants to stabilize the soil structure and reduce nutrients within the water ways and ultimately, wetlands.

Eco Services – a proposal for initiating an initiative to protect wetlands with a “Thrive over survive” approach.

Local communities and farmers work together to build modules and support in the protection of wetlands.

A formation of the buffer systems made of different modules that support different zones in the wetlands.

Architecture of Change ANTI – SMOG HOUSING | THESIS People are so accustomed to the change, that the dangers of air pollution is conveniently ignored as it doesn’t have an immediate effect on the people. In this age of air pollution, this is a fight for a cleaner future. This is a proposal to design a housing typology in Delhi that tests the architectural logic of designing conditioned habitable spaces in a hazardous atmospheric conditions, in this case smog. The design proposes both short and long term solution that can be embedded in the basic elements of housing design.

Aerial Experience of the Housing – showcasing the three initiating elements namely the Vegetation, the Veil and the Ventilation.

Urban Wellbeing Youth Reflectorium The project aims to create a world of itself away from the harshness of the unplanned city, big voids, boundaries and fast pace. It aims to enhance well-being by seclusion through inclusion, pause, program and natural quality. The resultant design outcome is based on the study of two major aspects, namely natural qualities and the well-being of the people. Both of them are analyzed on the basis on comfort, health and happiness of the people. The project also indicated an important vision in developing an uninhibited expression of young people with the aim of sustaining a platform that enables them to be effective and become agent of change Reflectorium (Prototype Typology)

Gurgaon has a history and characteristic of being built in different pockets at different points of time. The first master plan of Gurgaon only came after 2005, before which quite a lot of the city was built. Each of this pockets have a center to them which impact a certain radius .These centers cause a stimulus. We identified multiple stimuli that came up in these pockets of Gurgaon due to many factors. This design focuses on activated the connectors and the receptor to these stimuli to engage the people of Gurgaon.

Habitat Group Housing Bungalow Apartments An attempt to design a group housing project placed at Sarojini Nagar, Delhi. This is designed for the Redevelopment plan of Sarojini Nagar. The idea to give the residents the “bungalow effect” to enhance their quality of life by providing open spaces at every level of the housing; different from a conventional high rise housing style currently being followed in India.

An experimental housing style that explores the design of vertical farming on different levels and structural elements like columns and beams to be woven together to form a modular setting.

EXPERIENCE

BUNGALOWS The idea is to give the residents of Sarojini Nagar an experience of the “Bungalow” house. This can enhance their quality of life by also providing a solution to the increasing need of residential spaces. The planning is to eliminate the typical housing style of stacking and providing equal number of private and green spaces that one can find in an independent house.
