Abstract The concept of “The Unified Deception” is a narrative set up in the year 2070 that walks through the built environment of Riyadh. The dialogue is provoking a conversation on the predicting and speculating a scenario where cultures from Riyadh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu were to come together and blend into one.

The speculation is directed in exploring this blend of cultures and viewing the same through the lens of AI Integration which is anticipated to present itself as a double edged sword. On one hand, the people adapt the conventional means of understanding the cultures by drawing upon the traditional wisdom and credible resources. Designers and Architect leverage database of historical texts, artifacts and expert analysis to generate an accurate interpretation of the cultures coming together. This allowed a profound appreciation of the heritage, promoting cross-cultural understanding and fostering a sense of belongingness.

On the other hand, the signals inferred a heavy reliance of the society on AI tools as the dominant search engine in 2070. the potential of misinterpretations and misunderstandings. Algorithms, while powerful, lack the depth of human intuition and cultural sensitivity. This led to a distortion of the cultural products and failed to capture the intricacies of the heritages.

The output of the concept projected hopes to showcase the big message “Understanding Cultures through Experiences, Not Algorithms”. Through the exploration of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney, the project will explore the capabilities of AI Tools in deciphering cultural amalgamation by acknowledging its capabilities versus its limitations.

The purpose or intended use of the artifact within its cultural context. How the artifact was used and its practical function in daily life or ceremonies.

Significance in the Society

All three artifacts had a role to place to represent the social status of the people who owned them. This was done either by level of detailing and carving or the kind of patterns and colors that was used.

Materials and Colours

All three artifacts were made using locally available materials such as sandstone, granite or wood. All these materials created a distinct visual appeal to the artifacts through colors, shape and form.

When Prompted to represent “wealth” or status of “power”, it turned the artifacts into gold.

But analyzed in detail, it gives random forms and shapes.

Representation of the columns could lead to a different style; in this case “Doric Style”

Because the AI model is based on datasets, its pre-set notions, in this case it represents amulets or talisman that are no wear to be found in Nadi culture.

When prompted for “lit” or “bright” doors, it could lead to a very different interpretation and give a completely different outputs, in this case stained glass doors.

• Material Based Colors: Color scheme represents earthy tones of sandstone and locally available marbles.

The “Unified” Deception The idea of AI interpreting cultures on a defined dataset takes away a valuable asset i.e. diversity and produces a standardized product.

Through our project we are trying to take our audience away from this “Unified Deception” and built a narrative to speculate the future that may take place if we do not start empowering authenticity, experiences and wisdom ourselves and give it a place while using AI to design our futures.

The fusion of nanotechnology and architecture births a revolution known as "Nanotech Living." Buildings become self-repairing, selfcleaning, and energy-generating structures, all on a molecular scale. Walls change colors on command, adjusting the ambiance of a room with a thought.

Architects take a nostalgic yet futuristic approach, introducing "Time-Traveling Retrofuturism." Buildings seamlessly blend iconic architectural styles of the past with cutting-edge technology.

Neo-Victorian façades conceal state-of-the-art interiors, and Art Deco skyscrapers house AI-driven interfaces. As we walk through these timebending marvels, our perception of time itself shifts, urging us to reconsider the cyclical nature of design and how it shapes our perception of history and progress.

Their hands intertwine threads of tradition, weaving them into breathtaking installations that defy the boundaries of culture and geography. The Pavilion transforms into a living exhibit—a vibrant canvas where cultures interlace and dialogues unfold, each thread binding diverse narratives into a vibrant tapestry. The Unity Pavilion becomes a crucible of connection, transcending physical borders and resonating with the heartbeat of humanity.

The most successful and prominent signals detected were of architectural and spaces that bring people together. The results were very emotional and dramatic yet it captured the essence of the narrative expected.

Villages transform into eco-communities, their architecture blending seamlessly with nature.

Solar-powered Rajasthani windows illuminate homes, Najdi doors are repurposed as recycled art installations, and Chettinad columns support vertical gardens. As these eco-revival initiatives flourish, they become global models for sustainable living.

Nanotech Living

Residents marvel at the ability of their homes to adapt, heal, and communicate at levels unseen before. The boundaries between living spaces and technology blur, leaving us in awe of how these structures have reshaped our understanding of the built environment.

The possibilities related to disruptive designs could be implemented with as part of the materiality artifact. Yet, at this stage, it was important to understand the expertise we can work with. Technological Advances are true yet all under experimentation.

All possibilities related to parallel universe, time travelling etc are interesting science fiction aspects but not plausible at all. These theories and ideas are unproven and need to be eliminated from the selection of themes.
