Women have stated in various media reports that they would rather cross a major road on foot than take the underpass. Wine and liquor shops are considered highly unsafe locations for women. A paan shop located in the well-lit corridors of Connaught Place’s inner circle selling imported cigars, cigarettes, lighters, chewing gums, is considered relatively safe for modern young girls.
