13.0 REGULATIONS Fresh milk collected for nutritional powder complies with the Dairy Food Safety Code of Practice (September 2002) Imported milk solids must comply with AQIS regulations (Importing Certificate) and comply with the microbiological (section 3.2) and contaminant (section 3.1) of this specification. The World Organisations for Animal Health assessed Australia as being one of 11 countries as "negligible" risk of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy's (TSE's) and Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). Bovine Somatotropin (rBST) is not permitted to be used in Australia. Imported milk solids are sourced only from countries assessed as "negligible or controlled risk" for
TSE's, BSE and where rBSt is not permitted
