Vietnam War ends. Busch Gardens Williamsburg, VA opens. Steven Spielberg’s Jaws becomes 1st modern film blockbuster. Bruce Springsteen’s album Born to Run released, and NBC airs 1st episode of Saturday Night Live. NYC approved for $6.9 billion bailout.

Mode of Year Founded: 1995

Mode of Year Founded is the date that appears most often in our roster of numbers. In 1995 the Dow Jones Industrial Average tops 4000 + 5000 both for the 1st time. Movie Forrest Gump wins best picture. Oklahoma City bombing kills 168 people. Football star O.J. Simpson is found not guilty in double murder trial. U.S. President Bill Clinton ends the federal 55 mph speed limit. Korean War Veterans Memorial is dedicated in Washington D.C.
