“This past summer, my family and I spent a weekend on the North Shore honoring the long and remarkable life of my great-grandmother Irene Peterson, the mother-in-law of TRADITION founder Tip Enebak and grandmother of CEO Jake Enebak.
When I think of Irene's 104 years of life and the big and small moments that defined it, a single word comes to my mind: steadfast.
STEADFASTNESS / noun [stead·fast·ness]
The quality of being firm, loyal, and unwavering in purpose, belief, or principle, even when facing difficulty, temptation, or opposition.
Irene’s life was defined by a series of small, faithful choices that had big ripple effects. Like the deep roots of an oak tree, these choices anchored her family through generations, providing stability as it grew larger and wider—reaching out to people she never imagined meeting, let alone impacting.
As you flip through these pages, you’ll encounter many moments where the loyalty, care, and steadfastness of one person changed the course of what came next. Sometimes it's the donation of a single blanket. Other times it's the quiet support of a spouse, parent, or friend. Most often, it's as simple as the resolve to show up each day and put one foot in front of the other—even when no one is watching.
While working on the 2026 issue of the CONNECT. Magazine, one truth became clear: We are all shaping something that extends beyond us. Generations still taking form. Stories still being written.
My great-grandma may have felt like a minor character in the story of TRADITION, but her legacy is undeniably woven into its fabrics—reminding us that no role is too small, and no act of service too quiet, to rewrite a better ending.

And in pivotal moments, when we open our homes, our businesses, and our communities to others.

Few understand that paradox more deeply than the speakers who took the stage at this year's Faith Hope Courage event—each a living testament to the hope that can arise from hardship.
Organized by TRADITION founder Tip Enebak, Faith Hope Courage is an annual speaking event held each Election Day, designed to unite the community around ordinary acts of bravery. Whether it be veterans, cancer survivors, bereaved family members, or emboldened community leaders, a new group of everyday heroes are invited to the podium each year to ignite unity and hope on a day that tends to breed fear and division.
This was certainly the case at the 2025 event, emceed by Mike Max and Jack Taggart, which which drew a crowd of over 600 attendees to the Mystic Lake Event Center. Across four emotional and deeply honest testimonies, the keynote speakers shared their most difficult chapters, offering messages of resilience, gratitude, and faith.

IGNITING GENEROSITY.
In the state of Minnesota, there are over 327,000 military veterans, comprising about 6% of the population. TRADITION is devoted to honoring the sacrifice of these brave neighbors and community members, and is proud to stand with organizations like Folds of Honor—a national nonprofit that supports educational opportunities for families of disabled and fallen veterans.
In September, TRADITION had the opportunity to partner with College City Beverage for their sixth annual Folds of Honor Golf Tournament, held at Legends Club. Featuring a golf tournament, live music, silent auction, food and drinks, and invaluable camaraderie between partnering organizations, the event raised over $120,000 in scholarship funds for military and first responder families.
A longtime partner of TRADITION, College City Beverage launched its Driven to Serve platform in 2023, with a strategic focus on giving back to military service members and their families. Since its launch, the company has raised over $350,000 for Folds of Honor alone, inspired by the impactful work of its Minnesota chapter.
Finding ways to give back even a small measure of what military service members have given remains a core pillar of TRADITION’s charitable mission. Thanks to these valued partnerships with College City Beverage and Folds of Honor, hundreds of military and first responder families will be able to access higher education with confidence and security—and carry their loved ones’ brave patriotism onward.

The latest batch of Tradition Whiskey is here, and it is steeped in legacy, camaraderie, and Kentucky-style craftsmanship. On its label, a charcoal sketch of a monarch maple tree tells a story akin to that of a well-aged, patiently harvested whiskey: Great things come with time.
A blend of four barrels from three outstanding Kentucky-based distillers—Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, and Bardstown Bourbon Company—Tradition Whiskey 3.0 carries traces of Kentucky’s time-honored Bourbon tradition, one that relies on history, heritage, and uncompromising care. The 96-proof sipper opens with notes of roasted peanuts and ripe red fruits, unfolding into a long, lingering finish of cinnamon and cherry cola.

This philosophy was exemplified by Tradition Capital Bank’s involvement in the Member Impact Fund, a program launched by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB). After inviting members like Tradition Capital Bank to submit grant requests, FHLB pledged to triple match the value of each donation.
Through this partnership, Tradition Capital Bank provided charitable gifts totaling nearly $900,000 to 11 local nonprofits that support affordable housing and community development.

When Tom and Jessi McKenna founded Every Third Saturday (ETS) in 2009, there were approximately 700 homeless veterans living in the state of Minnesota. Flash forward to a survey conducted in 2024, and that number has shrunk to 184. This is in no small part thanks to the work of organizations like ETS—a nonprofit designed to heal the physical, mental, and spiritual wounds of veterans across Minnesota.
From its South Minneapolis headquarters, ETS serves over 1,100 veterans each year, providing vital resources like temporary emergency shelter, clothing, meals, winter gear, sleeping bags, and hygiene items—alongside access to an on-site fitness center. Whether a veteran is navigating homelessness, isolation, post-traumatic stress, soul wounds or illness, ETS strives to walk alongside them—empowering them to rediscover stability, hope, and purpose.

THE HOPE SUITE
TRADITION's nearly two-decade partnership with HopeKids' Minnesota chapter has come to life through fundraising initiatives like the annual Hope K 5K/10K and the House That Hope Built events, igniting philanthropic passion across its employees and partners.
Those collective efforts opened the door—literally—to something extraordinary: a 16-person suite at the Grand Casino Arena (formerly Xcel Energy Center). Affectionately known as the “Hope Suite,” it has become a treasured gathering place where kids can cheer on their favorite teams, hear live music, meet players, and share memory-making nights with family and friends. To date, more than 13,375 HopeKids members have benefited from the hope-building power of this gift.

This year, Tradition Development concentrated on two key projects, unlocking new possibilities for hundreds of families. HASTINGS Pleasant Valley Farm
In December of 2025, Tradition Development purchased this picturesque stretch of farm property through an agreement with Conzemius Family Limited Partnership, pledging to honor the family’s 100-plus-year farming legacy and deep connections to the land. Sprawling across 158 acres, the master-planned residential development is located just north of Hastings High School, flanked by steep, wooded slopes and expansive views of the Mississippi River Valley.
Comprised of two distinct neighborhoods, Pleasant Valley Farm boasts stunning viewpoints from all angles, whether residents choose to live in the “Hill,” perched on a high bluff overlooking the river valley, or the “Valley,” with easy access to the city’s trail system and historic downtown Hastings. With a planned total of 375 homes, the development will feature a wide range of custom and semi-custom single family homes, villa type homes, and townhomes. Grading is expected to begin in fall 2026, followed by utility and street work in summer 2027, with homesites available by late summer. The community is expected to fully take shape over the next 7 to 10 years.
VICTORIA
This ongoing project features a mix of both residential and commercial developments, spread out across 90 acres of land flanked by woodlands and creeks. Located just west of Tradition Development’s Huntersbrook Creekside development, the residential stretch is a natural extension of the broader Victoria Crossing property. In collaboration with Lennar, Tradition Development is delivering 13 thoughtfully positioned homesites. The serene and private lots are anticipated to be ready for homebuilding by summer 2026, offering future homeowners both seclusion and proximity to everyday conveniences.
On the commercial side, Tradition Development has been actively developing a 4.1-acre site at the northwest corner of Carver County Roads 10 and 11 for a Kwik Trip™ convenience store, expected to open in late 2026. This new addition will afford community members convenient access to fuel, groceries, and everyday essentials. Capitalizing on TRADITION’s vertically integrated business model, Tradition Commercial Real Estate is stepping in to market the additional 44 acres of commercial property, while Enebak Construction is grading the entire property to help spur additional interest.

With a special focus on the sport of hockey, DinoMights gives children a chance to sharpen their athleticism, teamwork, and discipline through on-ice teams, street hockey, off-season training, and winter games on DinoMights’ Billy Lindsay outdoor rink. Over 45 DinoMights players have gone on to play high school hockey, including Minnehaha Academy’s former captain Jacob Eggers.

June 2025 marked the 25th annual Tradition Cup at Legends Club in Prior Lake, one of multiple picturesque courses built by TRADITION. The longstanding summer tradition gathers the company’s most valued partners and associates for a chance to reconnect, sharpen their golf game, and show appreciation for one another’s continued support.
As foursomes made their way down Legends’ wide-open fairways, old friends reconnected and new ones got acquainted, allowing younger generations to soak in the immeasurable value of partnership.
