Tradition Companies is unique in that we have nine different entities operating under the same parent company. With offices located all around the Twin Cities metro area, it is important for us to make time for our employees to get together and connect with their co-workers. ENEBAK CONSTRUCTION WRAPPING UP A BUSY 2017 In 2017, Enebak Construction Co. moved approximately 7 million cubic yards of dirt as well as installing nearly 90,000 lineal feet of underground utilities on projects across the entire Twin Cities metro area. The work varied from residential and commercial site development, to mining sand and gravel.

ECC completed multiple projects in 2017 such as: Harvest Phase 2 in Chaska, Tributary on Foster Lake in St. Michael & Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 18th Addition in Lakeville. A few other projects from 2017 include: TRILLIUM COVE | Prior Lake, MN ECC developed this 70+ acre site on the north side of Lower Prior Lake into a housing development containing 142 Single-Family lots & 65 Multi-Family units. The site grading started on June 14th with the utilities starting on August 31st. Grading and utility crews worked together to increase production and efficiency in order to get the streets in and paved by the Fall deadline. FAIRMOUNT SANTROL FRAC SAND MINING | Jordan, MN ECC helped the owner re-open the mine after being shut down for several years. Mining work varied from clearing trees to stripping new mining areas to hauling sand and rock to the plant. The site faces some challenges
with bedrock at various depths, which leads to weekly blasting. After blasting, ECC hauls the blasted material to the plant to be sorted through. ECC will continue working on-site to supply the plant with material throughout the winter.
2018 FORECAST 2018 will have some projects that will carryover from the Fall of 2017 including Highcroft in Woodbury. Some new projects are already on the books for 2018 while more keep coming through the door to be bid. Enebak Construction Co. is looking forward to 2018 and another busy, successful year ahead.

Since I wrote the last newsletter, Tradition Wealth Management has grown to almost $700 million assets under management along with 15 of the finest employees in the industry. On Valentine’s Day 2018, the company will turn 15 years old. Several local and national award recognitions have been presented to our advisors; our diligent efforts in constructing investment portfolios and the implementation of full balance sheet planning have earned us a great reputation in the industry. The company goes above and beyond to serve our client base and helps administer the full financial planning needs of those who hire us. We have been staying extremely busy with the investment markets,
insurance reviews, business succession planning, retirement planning, college planning, the 401k market, and other investment needs. ESQUIRE TITLE Esquire Title has continued its past success with another very solid year in 2017. Through November, Esquire has closed over 1,140 transactions, including purchases, refinances, duals, junior loans and sell sides, and is on track to close up to 100 in the month of December. Esquire has worked closely with Tradition Mortgage, Tradition Capital Bank, Robert Thomas Homes, Homes by Tradition and has built strong relationships with other lenders, credit unions, real estate agents and individuals.

TRADITION PASS IT ON Tradition Pass It On is a movement created by Tradition Companies that helps fund a wide variety of community initiatives in Edina, MN. Since one of the main Tradition Companies offices is in Edina, their work gives back to the local community by staying connected with clients and providing people with an opportunity to get involved. In 2017, there were quite a few highlights. Tradition has sponsored some fun, unique events, as well as volunteered their time to help promote these initiatives. Art of Edina is one initiative we work with that is aimed to give local Edina artists a public space to display their art. The most recent art installation is being displayed inside Southdale Mall. Over 150 paper lanterns were installed as part of the Shine On Project in November. The lanterns were created by the 4th and 5th grade classes at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. The 3 month installation focusses on joy and light around the world. This is a collaborative project with the Minneapolis-based American Refugee Committee (ARC). Tradition
Companies has donated one solar-powered headlamp in the honor of each student that has a lantern displayed! The headlamps are being sent to a refugee settlement in Uganda and given to a person who does not have electricity in their home.
Tradition Pass It On is also a proud sponsor of Da Beauty League. This centers on keeping our local professional hockey players local by offering a training ground at Braemar Ice Arena in Edina in 3 fast paced games in the NHL’s “off season”.

2017 HOUSE THAT HOPE BUILT You may have heard over the past few months, the excitement surrounding “The House That Hope Built”. In case you haven’t heard, Tradition Companies enlisted the help of Robert Thomas Homes and many of their trade and business partners to construct our second “Hope House”. The goal for the House that Hope Built is to donate the net proceeds from the sale of the home to HopeKids Minnesota, a local nonprofit organization that provides unique support for children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The house sold during the Fall Parade of Homes℠. Joined by many of our
trade and business partners who contributed materials, labor and cash donations to the project, Tradition Companies was able to present HopeKids Minnesota with a $400,000 donation to their organization! “I am touched by the support of Tradition Companies and Robert Thomas Homes,” HopeKids’ President, Josh Taylor said. “This gift helps more than 1,000 families battling cancer or other life-threatening conditions by keeping them focused on the future, looking forward to the next fun event around the corner.” It was an exciting journey, and we are so happy to be partnered with HopeKids to help support local families.
