Scholarship Opportunity

The NBCUniversal Tony Coelho Media Scholarship will provide eight (8) scholarships to be used in the fall semester of 2023. High school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students with disabilities who are pursuing careers in media, communications, or entertainment industries who will be enrolled in college or a university during Fall 2023 are eligible. Each recipient will receive $5,625 to help cover the cost of education at their college or university.

Registration and Academic Fair for Summer and Fall 2023

Registration for Summer and Fall begins Monday, May 22, 2023! Check your registration ticket for your assigned time and date and register on time.

The academic fair is an opportunity to talk with faculty about their programs or courses for next quarter. To make the best of this opportunity, it’s good to come prepared to the fair and your TRIO advisor is here to help! They can help you review the catalog offerings, narrow down the list of programs/courses you are interested in, check to see if there are prerequisites or signature requirements and brainstorm questions to ask professors. You can find your advisor’s contact information in the last section of this newsletter.

Annual Academic Statements are back!

The deadline to submit your Annual Academic Statement is May 19th . Continuing students who do not have a draft of their statement by the deadline will get a registration hold on their account. This hold will prevent students from registering for summer or fall classes until the statement is submitted. Here is a short “How To” video that shows you how to submit the academic statement. If you have questions about the annual academic statement, reach out to your Academic Specialist for support.

Graduating students need to submit a Final Academic Statement. The Final Academic Statement must be submitted by the last day of your final quarter to graduate. Below are the deadlines for spring and summer quarter:

Spring Quarter: Friday, June 16, 2023

Summer Quarter: Friday, September 8, 2023

Housing

The Summer 2023 Housing Application Summer spaces are first come first served. Space is very limited! Make sure to apply early to secure on campus housing. A waitlist will be activated when housing reaches capacity for summer. For information on housing for Summer 2023 please visit https://www.evergreen.edu/housing/summer-housing-2023

Reserve your room on campus for the 2023-24 Academic Year! The deadline to apply for housing is July 1st , 2023, at 8 AM. Applications submitted after 8 AM on July 1st will automatically be placed on the waitlist. Learn more and apply at https://www.evergreen.edu/housing/reserve-your-room-campus

TRIO Study Hall

Join us for drop-in study sessions on Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Evans Hall Computer Lab, classroom 2612.

Tutoring With TRIO!

TRIO’s tutor coordinator, Gator can work with you to set up one to one tutoring with an Evergreen Peer Tutor. Tutoring services include:

• Receiving tutoring on a language or academic subject

• Support with time management and organization skills

• Help to understand and complete assignments.

TRIO Students can work with a tutor for up to 3 hours a week.
