We throw open our hearts before you; We cast down every barrier to your freedom: We yield to your boundless nature; we welcome your wildness.

Too long have we tried to tame the wind; too long have we sought to control what’s wild; too long have we stood in domination over the Earth.

At this moment of Earth’s great groaning, yearning, as if in labor, to birth what’s holy and enduring, come, breathe, blow, move upon us all – that Earth and all that’s in it may thrive; that Earth and all that’s in it may love; that Earth and all that’s in it may live.

In the harmony and wholeness you desire for us and all creation!

Matthew 14: 13-21

Jesus withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them and cured their sick. When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” Jesus said to them, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” They replied, “We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish.” And he said, “Bring them here to me.” Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Early in the morning, surrounded by respectable liars, religious leaders, anxious and silent friends, you accepted the penalty for doing good, for being God: you shouldered and suffered the cross.

One:

Early in the morning, a voice in a guarded graveyard and footsteps in the dew proved that you had risen, that you had come back to those and for those who had forgotten, denied and destroyed you.

Early in the morning, in the multicolored company of your Church on earth and in heaven we celebrate your creation, your life, your death and resurrection, your interest in us: So to you we pray‌
