Welcome to the 2021 Annual Pledge Drive – a time of intentional reflection and response to what it means to be a community of faith supporting the ministry we share. Each year we boldly talk about money as one of the tools we have been gifted to help radically transform who we are as disciples.

Each year we focus on this invitation to make an annual pledge as one statement of who we strive to be in the year ahead living from a place of generosity. Each of us is an invaluable part of this process – so welcome!

Art Box Assembly Toledo's Arts

prepares and delivers lunch to the vendors of our community partner, Toledo Streets Newspaper (TSN).

Trinity will gather at 8:30am on Thursday, November 18th to pack lunches and we need YOUR help! Trinity will purchase the food but we will need 4-5 volunteers to help prepare lunches, and deliver them to the TSN offices. Click the image to join our team!!!

WEEKLY SERMON

Commission is bringing back the ART BOX! These boxes include a specially selected set of quality art supplies for all ages, skill levels, and interests. We're calling on volunteers to help assemble these boxes.

This packaged creative experience allows the community to experiment at home, providing lessons to create and learn with Toledo, OH regional artists. Each Art Box is available for purchase, and includes a new set of supplies and group of artists.

Supplies are prepared by Arts Commission staff for you to pick up at our office. Volunteers take supplies home to assemble in time for the due date. Once all 25 boxes are fully assembled volunteers will return the completed boxes to our office. Learn more about art box assembly HERE!

We will spend two sessions building our altars together - gathering items from our home and sharing how these unique items help us create a sacred space where our roots can grow even more deeply in the sustaining soil of our faith. Next To New thrift shop found its home at Trinity nearly 70 years ago, and proudly supplies our surrounding community with goods and services that foster dignity, respect and compassion. Next To New was founded by the Daughters of Trinity in 1957. The Daughters of Trinity were a group of women at Trinity Episcopal Church who met weekly to sew for a "worthy cause", such as hospital needs, the Red Cross and different mission trips. The original mission from 1957 still stands today though, to serve our inner-city community by providing affordable, previously owned clothing and homegoods, while raising money for other causes. 2021 Annual Pledge Drive!

As we come to the close of this Annual Pledge Drive, now is the time for each of us to discern and to make a commitment, if we haven't already, to the financial support of our ministry. Over the years, many of us have found life-giving ways of being extensions of God's love through being members of this community.

And we want everyone to be able to participate in supporting the ministry that we are gifted by God to share to help radically transform the world that we live in. One way of doing that is to make a pledge for the year ahead. Each of you is an important part of this faith community and together we create an open and inviting place of Belonging for anyone looking for a spiritual home. If you have not already offered your pledge, your "yes", your sign of support for who and how we strive to be in the world in the year to come, please consider doing that today!

Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm Save the Dates: Camp for incoming 2nd through 12th graders will be offered each camp week beginning Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Camp will be offered the weeks of June 19 and 26 and July 3, 10, 17, and 24.

Join us on Wednesdays at 12:00 noon on Zoom for a short Noonday Prayer service. For the season of Advent, we will be praying with a noonday order of service from the Saint Helena Breviary and using The Message Bible for our gospel readings. Everything that you need to participate is found in the order of service on our website. If you cannot join us, we hope that you find this page a useful resource for taking a moment during the day to center yourself in prayer. Then, beginning on Wednesday, December 8th, we will add a second, in-person Midweek Prayer service, to include Eucharist, at noon in the sanctuary. All are welcome and wanted.

Cultivating Sacred Space at Home This Advent season join us for the first four Wednesdays in December from 7-8pm on zoom, where we will explore the history and importance of cultivating sacred space within our own homes. We will spend two sessions building our altars together - gathering items from our home and sharing how these unique items help us create a sacred space where our roots can grow even more deeply in the sustaining soil of our faith. In our last session together, we will join in a prayer service commemorating what is known as the Longest Night, as we pray and meditate together with our home altars. We hope you can join us!

What is Next To New? Next To New thrift shop found its home at Trinity nearly 70 years ago, and proudly supplies our surrounding community with goods and services that foster dignity, respect and compassion. Next To New was founded by the Daughters of Trinity in 1957.

The Daughters of Trinity were a group of women at Trinity Episcopal Church who met weekly to sew for a "worthy cause", such as hospital needs, the Red Cross and different mission trips. The original mission from 1957 still stands today though, to serve our inner-city community by providing affordable, previously owned clothing and homegoods, while raising money for other causes. TSN Vendor Lunch Team

EPISCOPAL NEWS SERVICE

On the third Thursday of each month, Trinity prepares and delivers lunch to the vendors of our community partner, Toledo Streets Newspaper (TSN).

Trinity will gather at 8:30am on Thursday, December 16th to pack lunches and we need YOUR help! Trinity will purchase the food but we will need 4-5 volunteers to help prepare lunches, and deliver them to the TSN offices. Click the image to join our team!!!

Trinity Book Club The Trinity Book Club has decided to take a brief hiatus for the holidays. We will gather next on Sunday, January 30th to discuss The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Book Club leaders Kyle Grefe and Becky Koskinen are working with Lisa to fill out and firm up plans to do a multiweek series in 2022 on women friendship in the Bible and as soon as we have a plan we will follow up.

DIOCESE OF OHIO Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm Save the Dates: Camp for incoming 2nd through 12th graders will be offered each camp week beginning Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Camp will be offered the weeks of June 19 and 26 and July 3, 10, 17, and 24.

Interested camp counselors or program staff can reach out to Whayne Hougland, Transitional Director, and must be available June 11 - July 30.

Registration will be live by early 2022.
