BrownBag Concerts For an unprecedented 43rd year, Music & Art at Trinity will offer seven BrownBag concerts this fall. This year's concerts will be livestreamed from an empty cathedral for the safety of the performers and the home audience. The BrownBag concerts are the longestrunning free music program in Northeast Ohio. You can watch all of the concerts at bit.ly/TrinityConcerts or trinitycleveland.org. More information about the performances are also available.

Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival at Trinity Cathedral The Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival Committee at Trinity Cathedral, Cleveland regretfully announces that live presentations of The Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival will "go dark" for 2020, and will not take place due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, the committee is planning a virtual celebration to take place on the same scheduled date, Sunday, December 27. More information coming soon. The Boar’s Head committee intends to have live Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival presentations at Trinity in December of 2021, and looks forward to seeing you then.

Bell Tolling for COVID Victims Each Friday in October, we tolled our bells at 5pm to honor and mourn the 200,000+ lives lost to coronavirus in the United States; once for each 1,000 lives lost. On the final Friday of the month, we live-streamed this time of reflection, while Priest Lisa offered prayer. You can experience this final tolling and time of prayer below. For those who have been lost, and those who have lost loved ones, we stand with you, we mourn with you, we honor you. May you never forget that you are loved.

Norris-Hulse Professor Emerita at Cambridge University, on November 10-12. This webinar series will be the annual Schaff Lectures. Each evening of the series, Dr. Coakley will offer one presentation with interactive time afterward with those attending. In her three presentations, Dr. Coakley will address race/'racism first as a 'theological' issue, and then consider the nature of sin and the Fall. All sessions are free and open to the public. On November 10 at 7:00 p.m. the lecture will be "In the Jail: Systemic Racism, Contemplation, and the Problem of 'Seeing.'" On November 11 at 7:00 p.m. the lecture will be "Reconsidering the Fall: Desire Gone Awry and Its Consequences." On November 12 at 7:00 p.m. the lecture will be "On the Way to Union? A Message from the Bishop Regarding COVID-19 November 19, 2020

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, I write you with concern about the ever-increasing spread of COVID-19 and to suggest a few things we can do in response.

Almost every day, I receive reports of clergy, lay leaders, communicants in our diocese, and friends who have tested positive for this virus, are suffering from the symptoms of COVID-19, or, tragically, have died. Very likely, you are experiencing the same. This surge has exceeded the predictions of epidemiologists and physicians in its unbridled spread. It is reported that three million Americans have active coronavirus infections and are potentially contagious, whether symptomatic or not. Some of those are healthcare workers who have put themselves at risk to care for other COVID-19 victims. Their willingness to jeopardize their own health for the care and wellbeing of others is inspiring...[continue reading].

Advent Quiet Days at Bellwether Farm

Set aside time to enter into the expectation and anticipation of the Advent season with a Quiet Day at Bellwether Farm on December 4, 5, or 6. Each day will offer four self-guided Advent stations, centered on different themes. Incorporating Scripture, reflection/discussion questions, poetry, and hands-on activities (including a DIY Advent wreath). Every station will provide space for quiet and prayer. This event is family friendly, and is designed to have something to offer every generation. A simple, COVID-safe, boxed lunch will be provided, as well as "Praying of the Hours" for a corporate worship experience.

Registration is $20 per person and includes the cost of lunch. You are welcome to stay for the whole day or come and go as you please.

Next To New Shop Our beloved thrift shop in the basement of Trinity will be CLOSED this coming Thursday, November 26, 2020, in observance of Thanksgiving. We will resume our normal COVID-hours (Thursdays 9:30-2:30) the following week.

Thomas Mousino and Merry Watters are pleased to present this year’s Advent calendar, click HERE to be taken to the download link. The calendar follows the liturgical season of Advent, which this year begins on Sunday, November 29. Each day offers a scripture reading and a suggested devotion.

The selected scripture readings use abbreviations for books of the Bible. Most bibles include a list of those abbreviations in the table of contents.
