APPRENTICESHIP UPDATE

A MESSAGE FROM MATT

CELEBRATING SUCCESS EVENT SHOWCASE

As we approach the end of another successful academic year, we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements of our apprentices, employers and partners. This edition highlights the success of our recent Final Year Poster Exhibition, Celebrating Success event, the upcoming graduation ceremonies, and the continued growth of degree apprenticeships across Wales and beyond. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Medr for their continued support of apprenticeships and skills development across Wales. Their investment and commitment help create valuable opportunities for both employers and apprentices, supporting workforce development and future talent across a wide range of industries. Thank you to all employers, apprentices, the academic teams and partners for your continued support, collaboration and commitment to developing future talent through apprenticeships. We look forward to continuing to work with you throughout the year ahead.

Mattherw Wicker

Head of Apprenticeships

Our recent Celebrating Success event was genuinely one of the most inspirational events we have had the privilege of organising within the Apprenticeship Unit at UWTSD. The event brought together apprentices, employers, academics and partners to celebrate the incredible achievements, journeys and final year projects of our apprentices. Attendees heard directly from past and present apprentices about their experiences, career progression and the impact degree apprenticeships have had on both their professional and personal development. From overcoming challenges to achieving promotions and leadership opportunities, the stories shared throughout the event highlighted the real value of degree apprenticeships and the bright future ahead for our learners and industry partners. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, presented and supported the event. Your continued commitment to developing talent and investing in skills makes a lasting difference across industries in Wales and beyond.
