Year 5
Miss Jackie Sherlock
Year 5 Blue
Term 1
In Term 1 we had our class camp. It was at Forest Edge. I had lots of fun doing all the activities, like going on a MASSIVE flying fox, rock climbing, abseiling, making rafts and even making our own shirts.
Jack Kay
Term 1 was so much fun because of camp. We got to do lots of activities that everyone wanted to do. Also we got to have the most delicious food ever. My favourite part about camp was being with my friends. They were a great help and very kind to everyone.
Jake Tana
Term 2
It was so exciting when it was our class Mass. We had fun doing the readings and the Power Point. I thought our Mass was pretty good and I liked the DVD that Miss Sherlock put on.

In Term 2 we had winter sports and I got into soccer. My favourite part of the game was when we scored goals. Our team was undefeated because we were just too good for the other schools.

Term 3
In Term 3 we did so many exciting things. We had our first class assembly in Year 5 and performed a combination of things. We performed a puppet show, recited Shakespeare, danced and performed many other interesting acts. This term Miss Sherlock also sorted us into literacy groups and we did Book Club once a week. She was very good at encouraging us to read books and not to rush through them. It was obvious she wanted us to do well. I ended up reading four novels.
Alexander Economo
In Term 3 we started reading class novels and doing literacy work in groups, which was really fun. We also did our class assembly, but I didn’t get to perform, because I had to go home sick, which was really disappointing. Also in Term 3 we did a cool diorama project on a book we had recently read. Term 3 was GREAT!
Brayden Keizer The Whole Year

I think Year 5 Blue this year has made an improvement in their attitude towards learning at school. The class activities were interesting and fun. I liked the science topic ‘Reversible and Irreversible Changes’ and I especially liked the experiments. This year I found my talent in writing stories and have even been inspired to write my own story at home. The class movie we created was really fun; I enjoyed filming and being in it. I have also made more friends and I think the friendships I had last year have become stronger.
Reece Gherardi

In Year 5 Green, one of my favourite things we did was Book Club. I really liked Book Club because we had six books that we could choose to read. We had two weeks to read the one we chose and then we sat with the others who read the same book. We discussed the book within the group and got to eat food that we brought in while we chatted! Book Club really rocks!
Damon Keizer
My favourite thing we did this year was the Winter Sports options. I chose Footy. It was fun playing against the other schools, especially the rivalry round against Aquinas! It was great to have Thursday sport options because last year we couldn’t go along.
Angus Thomas
My favourite thing we did in Year 5 Green was when we went to camp. It was great fun and we did such cool things! We went canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, orienteering, raft building, on the flying fox and made our own T-shirts! Camp is the best!
Michael Butler
This year has been a big change for me! I have got in to reading books, doing lots of hard work and always trying my best! What a year!
Jarrod Hall
On my first day in Year 5 Green I didn’t have any trouble finding my desk because it was at the front door! I was sitting next to Frank because he was new and I got to show him around. Since we were right near the front we could bat first when we played cricket because we were right next to the equipment! Miss Raguseo was really, really nice to us!
Michael Defelice
Miss Nicole Raguseo
Year 5 Green On Fridays we go to art. When Mr Lamborn isn’t looking my friends and I like to play table hockey with a rubber and our rulers!

My favourite day in 5 Green was the Athletics day because it was my first Athletics day at Trinity. Our first activity was high jump, then shot put, long jump and then triple jump. My favourite was high jump, although I was pretty good at shot put. After those activities we had the 200m sprint; it was awesome. Then we had all the other running events. We stopped for lunch so we could all get our hot dogs; they were yummy! Then we did the team events, tug of war was my favourite! I had an excellent day even though my House, Chanel, came third!

On my first day in 5 Green, I couldn’t wait to start, I was so keen. My teacher was Miss Raguseo, she was really cool, But to muck around in her class, you’d be a fool. We immediately started to read a book, And then we learnt how to cook! The highlight of the year was camp We walked and walked until we got a cramp. In year 5 a lot of sport was played Soccer, cricket, football, talents were displayed. My year, this year has been the best I hope it will be the same for the rest.
