One thing I’ve learnt during my time at Trinity is that it operates at pace. 2025 was another busy but rewarding year.

DONORS

Once again, my sincere thanks to you – our generous supporters. Thanks to your continued support, we raised just under $3 million. These funds make a real difference in helping talented students access Trinity through scholarships, improving rooms and shared facilities, supporting the choir and student activities such as the musical, and providing assistance to students facing unexpected challenges – whether that’s a medical bill or a broken laptop. Your support is deeply appreciated by me, and even more so by the students whose experience is shaped by it. This year was also significant for the Foundation. We received Board approval to invest $30 million from the College’s operating reserves into the endowment. This will help strengthen the College’s long-term resilience and safeguard its future. In 2026 I look forward to introducing our new Warden, the Reverend Professor Russell Goulbourne, to seeing many of you at upcoming events, and to beginning work on the Chapel renovation. Without your support, none of this would be possible, so I offer my sincere thanks.

2025 proved to be another steady year for fundraising and engagement at Trinity College, with continued support from our community across Australia and around the world. Total fundraising for the year ending 31 December 2025 reached $2.95 million, slightly below the previous year but underpinned by a strong and consistent base of support. Engagement also remained high, with more than 6580 people attending 85 events held across seven countries. The year included a number of memorable gatherings that brought the Trinity community together. Drinks Under the Oak in February welcomed 350 attendees, while the Fleur de Lys dinner brought together multiple year groups in celebration. A series of smaller, interest-based events – including a rowing reunion and an art exhibition – created further opportunities for connection. Trinity College | 2025 Foundation Annual Report

Importantly, the Board also approved a $30 million investment from the College’s operating reserves into the philanthropic endowment, strengthening Trinity’s long-term financial position. Throughout the year, the Executive Committee of the Foundation (ECOF) continued to receive advice on the management of the Foundation corpus from the Chair of the Investment Committee. ECOF remains confident in the oversight and performance of the portfolio, and grateful for the expertise provided by the Investment Committee members. ECOF was also updated by the Warden and the Director of Advancement on the development of the Trinity College Strategic Plan for 2030. This work has provided a clear framework for the College’s future priorities, both strategic and financial. In the year ahead, ECOF will focus on supporting these priorities through continued fundraising efforts and the ongoing growth of the endowment. Thank you for your ongoing support of Trinity. Anna a’Beckett (TC 1989) Chair, Executive Committee of the Foundation 7

FUNDS’ PERFORMANCE The Trinity College Foundation received $0.9 million in donations in 2025 and earned a further $3.5 million of income from its investments. At the end of 2025, the Foundation had a total of $54.8 million in assets under management. Net assets of the Foundation at year end were $60.3 million. The Trinity College Foundation uses an independent investment advisor (Jana Investment Advisers Pty Ltd) to help manage its growing pool of assets. The assets of the Foundation are currently invested in a mixture of Australian and international equities, debt and liquid securities. The Foundation does not invest directly but uses recommended fund managers specialising in the various market segments.

8

The weightings of the various segments determine a benchmark portfolio return against which the results of the investment managers are measured. The overall objective is to maintain the corpus of the Foundation funds in real terms, so inflation does not diminish the purchasing power of the endowed funds over time. The investment return target of the Foundation is CPI plus 5%. As a Public Ancillary Fund, the Foundation is required to distribute at least 4% of its net assets each year.

For 2025 the returns were as follows:
