It has been a truly remarkable year, where God has, yet again, shown us His loving faithfulness and goodness. God led us to launch a third Sunday morning worship service, this one in Darien. In the first three months, we came close to running out of seats as many new families have responded to God’s invitation and welcome. And after 18 years of pitching our tent in myriad locations midweek, God blessed us with our own state-of-the-art Ministry Center for the entire church family and wider community that is a place to go deeper, to care more widely, and to grow in the knowledge and love of God in word and action. Trinity’s Mission Statement In 2017, there was a desire to give thanks to God for just how far we have come as a family and how faithful God has been to us, and to ask Him anew, “Why have you established a community of faith called Trinity?“. Over a period of months, the staff and Council prayed over and discussed aspects of Trinity’s particular “why.” As followers of Christ, we are called
to connect with one another, grow in our love for God, and serve locally and globally. In a deliberately Jesus-centric fashion, our renewed mission statement captures these three essential dimensions of our life together in God and articulates our shared purpose — the Kingdom cause that we are all joined in. The mission statement is presented here, along with practical next steps you can take.

Ministry Center After a decade-long search, 2017 was of great celebration as we opened the doors to the Ministry Center at 5 River Road in Cos Cob! The Ministry Center is already filled with life and is helping us to meet the needs of our church family and the wider community. The new space has already enabled: New children to join our reimagined midweek Trinity Kids group (All Stars), over 50% of whom are new to Trinity and/or come from families without a faith background. Many women who are new to Trinity to find community and friendship through the local Women’s Retreat. Trinity students to invite their friends to worship nights which are now able to be held at a consistent venue. 5 new and 9 existing groups (Bible studies, classes, etc.) to meet because a space is now available for them to do so; creating an environment where our church can grow in community and in faith. 75% increase in the number of people able to participate in Alpha with a new, comfortable space in which to hold the course. The Trinity Ministry Center is truly an answer to many years of prayer, and we praise God for His provision at this important moment for our church!
New Service in Darien October 1, 2017, marked the start of a new, exciting chapter in the life of the Trinity family as we launched a Sunday worship service in Darien, CT! In the few short months since it began, the Darien service has grown to an average attendance of close to 200 adults, children and students, the majority of whom were not part of the Trinity launch team (representing approx. 35-40 new families!). It has been amazing to see how God had already prepared the hearts of many existing Trinity people and others who are new to Trinity to join in what He is doing. Those attending the Darien service speak of “the tangible presence of God” being in the room, the buzz of conversation in the lobby after the service, and the joy of seeing people they know in the community finding Trinity and so quickly feeling at home here. We are so thankful to God!
