God’s fingerprints were all over our church in 2018 and we are so grateful to Him for the many ways we have seen Him at work in each of our lives, in our communities, and in our world. As a church family we each lived out our mission in a multitude of ways: with kids and students, as we have cared for one another, in missions and outreach, and so much more. At Trinity, we are convinced that the Christian life is not meant to be a solitary one, but is meant to be lived out with others. In community, we have the opportunity to support one another, pray for one another, and grow together.

In 2018, we re-launched Trinity groups utilizing a new structure based on terms. Three times per year, everyone in the church has the chance to join a group for 8 to 12 weeks in convenient locations to learn how to study the Bible, grow in faith and have fun meeting new people!

In 2018 we launched Kingdom Come, our allchurch worship nights.

These evenings create a set-apart place where people are invited to linger in the presence of God and encounter Him in a powerful way through extended worship and prayer. With an open and “in the round” floor plan, people are given more space to move and feel comfortable. We have seen a real hunger for the presence of God which is growing with each subsequent event.

In the last year we have re-envisioned Trinity Serves (formerly Missions, Outreach and Justice) with the goal that Trinity would be a church where we equip people to be the love of Jesus and share the gospel in our church, our communities and around the world, through service, word and generosity.

Over 300 volunteers and leaders serving on Sundays and midweek in a wide variety of roles.

Through our very first “Trinity Serves Sunday” (October 7, 2018), over 200 Trinity people served our local community during the time of our regular Sunday gatherings. Cleaning, gardening, community parties, and toiletry kit assembly were some of the activities which served eight of our partner organizations.

Alan and Christy Valentine and Lorraine Bixler served as missionaries sent out from Trinity to JENGA in Mbale, Uganda.

29 Trinity people served on overseas mission trips to Haiti and Uganda.

Each month the people of Trinity volunteer at 12 different service opportunities with local service partners (up from just two opportunities in 2017).

In addition to serving with our “hands and feet,” Trinity also awarded grants to several different partner organizations, in support of their work ministering to those who are spiritually and materially poor and/or marginalized both locally and globally.

Organizations with whom Trinity people are actively engaged are eligible to apply for financial support on an annual basis. Grant decisions are bathed in prayer and discernment and are also weighted based on each organization’s alignment with Trinity’s mission; expected Kingdom impact; operation within focus areas of food insecurity, human trafficking and children and families; and size of need.
