Topic for Years 3 – 4
INFORMATION SHEET
“My Favourite Fairytale or Book Character”,
Participants should talk about their favourite fairytale, or a character from their favourite book –they could detail who would they be? Why are they their favourite character and what would they ask them?
While some details may be fictional, it must be based on true facts.
Topic for Years 5 – 6
“Who is the most Influential Person in your Life?”
Participants should interview this person and then tell us about them. Who are they? What do they do and how have they influenced you?
PLEASE NOTE: This person may be a member of the student’s family, a grandparent, a local police officer, a firefighter, doctor, nurse, teacher, or a member of the community. This should be a true account of the interview, not fictional.
Competition Timeline 2024
• School Competitions to be completed by the end of June.
• Club Finals to be held by the end of July.
• Regional Finals to be held in the first 2 weeks of August.
• The District Final will be held on Sunday 25 August 2024. The venue to be advised.
• The proposed date for the V District State Final is 22 September 2024. The venue and date are to be confirmed.
