Fundación Nuestros Hijos, an institution that has been caring for children and adolescents with cancer in Chile for more than 31 years, signed an agreement with St Jude Children's Research Hospital, in the United States FNH becomes part of this global alliance that brings together more than 180 other organizations of excellence linked to childhood cancer in more than 68 countries around the world This agreement opens the doors to FNH to consolidated international support networks, in addition to various opportunities for improvement and specialization in the field of pediatric oncology. FNH shares with this global network the inspiration of a shared mission: to find cures and save children with cancer everywhere

St Jude Children's Research Hospital is one of the largest and most respected not-for-profit pediatric cancer research hospitals in the world, serving more than 8,600 patients a year free of charge The St Jude Global Alliance is a global movement in children's oncology that brings together individuals and institutions dedicated to improving the quality of care and increasing the survival rates of children with cancer and blood disorders around the world. Alliance members share the conviction that all children, regardless of where they come from, deserve the chance to live, regardless of ethnicity, religion or ability to pay

The institutions that make up this global alliance must be evaluated, recommended and sponsored by ALSAC (American Lebanese Syria Associated Charities), and must meet several criteria that evidence their commitment and impact on pediatric cancer outcomes in their respective communities, as is the case of Fundación Nuestros Hijos.

"When the Foundation was born, more than 31 years ago, the ideal model we had in mind was always St. Jude Fathers and mothers who had gone through a really challenging and painful experience, but always accompanied by this great organization, we had all the existing possibilities This experience inspired us to be able to equalize the situation of all children in Chile, so that they would have the same chances of survival regardless of their socioeconomic situation", said Dr Marcela Zubieta, president and founder of Fundación Nuestros Hijos, and mother of a child oncology patient, referring to the beginnings of FNH and the motivation that led her to create this organization "Signing this agreement with St Jude is very emblematic for us and fills us with hope to achieve all our dreams," added Dr Zubieta

Likewise, Alejandra Méndez, director of Fundación Nuestros Hijos and also a member of the board of directors of CCI (Childhood Cancer International), said that "for us the signing of this agreement and the formal beginning of a joint work with St. Jude means a lot in the expansion and constant improvement of our services and comprehensive support for children and adolescents with cancer who are treated at our foundation An organization like St Jude is a model of excellence, which has always served as a guide for us.
