Admission Requirements Checklist 1. Apply for free. Go to tridenttech.edu and click on the Get Started tab for general information about the application process. When you are ready, select Apply Now (or visit bit.ly/TTCapplynow) to access the TTC application. If this is your first visit to the Apply Now site, you will need to create an account before applying. Use your email and password to return to Apply Now to check the status of your application and upload supplemental documentation.
Placement in classes is based on demonstrated math and English ability. Submit one of the following to the Admissions office: • Valid, qualifying SAT/ACT test scores* • Next-Gen ACCUPLACER Placement Test* (FREE in the TTC Testing Center) • Weighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher (final, official transcript required) • High school diploma or GED plus D2L Math Placement Test • Prior college credits in math and/or English

The S.C. Aeronautical Training Center at Trident Technical College provides an educated and trained pipeline of workers with the skills needed now and in the future. In the S.C. Aeronautical Training Center, the college offers high-tech manufacturing programs, aeronautical studies programs, advanced manufacturing training, engineering technology and engineering transfer courses, and houses Boeing training. A 2024 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court has resulted in expanded education benefits for eligible veterans. LONGER BENEFIT PERIOD
Before 2024, eligible veterans who served at least two periods of service were limited to a maximum total of 36 months of GI Bill® benefits, between the Montgomery GI Bill® and the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Eligible veterans can now qualify for up to 48 months of total GI Bill® benefits.
EXTENDED EXPIRATION DATES
VA is also extending the expiration dates for using GI Bill® benefits for eligible veterans. For each veteran with multiple periods of service who chose the Post-9/11 GI Bill® over the Montgomery GI Bill®, VA will reinstate the time they had remaining at the time of their election, plus 90 days. To receive an expiration date extension, applications must be submitted by Oct. 1, 2030. MYCAA SCHOLARSHIP
About the scholarship: The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship (MyCAA) is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to eligible military spouses. The scholarship assists military spouses in pursuing licenses, certifications or associate degrees necessary to gain employment. Spouses may use their MyCAA scholarship funds at any academic institution approved for participation in the scholarship. Who qualifies: Spouses of active-duty service members and spouses of National Guard and reserve service members on Title 10 orders in pay grades E-1 through E-9, W-1 through W-3 and O-1 through O-3. Spouses who have completed high school or
obtained a GED.
NOTE: You can continue your approved education and training plan if your sponsor is promoted. More information: The MyCAA Scholarship provides a maximum tuition benefit of $4,000 with an annual fiscal year cap of $2,000 to assist eligible military spouses who need professional credentials to meet their career goals. MyCAA will pay for tuition and testing fees. Recipients have a three-year time limit to use
the MyCAA funding, which begins on the start date of the first course taken.
NOTE: Programs only leading to a certificate are not eligible for MyCAA. Recipients must be in pursuit of a recognized postsecondary credential.

Dual Credit Students
Next Steps after High School Graduation Dual Credit students who graduate from high school will have their Dual Credit program status closed at TTC. Students are responsible for ensuring that their educational opportunities continue by taking the actions listed below.
1. Apply for free. Go to tridenttech.edu and click on the Get Started tab for general information about the application process. When you are ready, select Apply Now (or visit bit.ly/TTCapplynow) to access the TTC application. If this is your first visit to the Apply Now site, you will need to create an account before applying. Use your email and password to return to Apply Now to check the status of your application and upload supplemental documentation.
Placement in classes is based on demonstrated math and English ability. Submit one of the following to the Admissions office:
• Valid, qualifying SAT/ACT test scores* • Next-Gen ACCUPLACER Placement Test* (FREE in the TTC Testing Center) • Weighted high school GPA of 3.25 or higher (final, official transcript required) • High school diploma or GED plus D2L Math Placement Test • Prior college credits in math and/or English A Student Success Coach or academic advisor can help you choose the best option.
*Notes:
Math: You will need to provide one of the following scores or higher: SAT Math 521, ACT Math 24, Next-Gen ACCUPLACER Arithmetic 277, weighted high school GPA 4.0, D2L Math Placement Test 90, prior college credits in math. If your scores are lower than these, you will be required to take a corequisite math course. English: You will need to provide one of the following scores or higher to show English proficiency: ACT English 19, SAT Evidence-based Reading & Writing 520, Next-Gen ACCUPLACER, prior college credits in English. All scores have a 5-year expiration date from the time of testing.
Review and submit any remaining admission items listed on your Apply Now account. Examples include proof of legal presence in the United States (copy of driver’s license, state-issued ID, etc.), high school diploma, GED or final high school transcript (recommended). 2. Visit Trident Tech’s student portal at my.tridenttech.edu. Information will be sent to your personal email about accessing my.tridenttech.edu and your college-issued email account. Trident Tech contacts you using this official college-provided student email to ensure your identity and protect the confidentiality of communication. Check your Trident Tech email account frequently, as college departments will email you important information while you are a student. You can also use my.tridenttech.edu to see your student records. Go to the Student Self-Service page to see your grades, financial aid and any balance due.
3. Apply for financial aid. See second page of this flier for instructions about submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov.

What is SCWINS? South Carolina residents enrolled in critical workforce programs that lead to an industry-recognized credential, certificate, diploma or degree may be eligible for the South Carolina Workforce Industry Needs Scholarship (SCWINS). SCWINS covers the cost of tuition, fees and courserelated expenses (up to $5,000 per academic year) for eligible programs. Who is eligible to receive SCWINS funding? You must:

SC LIFE Scholarship Information SC LIFE Scholarship provides up to $5,000 per year in tuition and/or book costs for eligible students. (Fall and Spring semesters only) Current SC LIFE Scholarship eligibility criteria:
• Be an SC resident or a dependent of an SC Resident. • Graduate from an SC high school with a minimum cumulative SCUGP GPA of 3.0. • Submit your final official SC high school transcript to TTC’s Admissions Office. Your GPA calculated date must be on or before June 15 of your graduation year.
Here’s what to do if you are SC LIFE Scholarship eligible: Apply to TTC online at https://www.tridenttech.edu/admissions/index.html Within a few days, the Admissions Office will send an acknowledgment letter with your access information for my.tridenttech.edu and TTC’s student portal. Check your email often! TTC’s Financial Aid Office will communicate with you through your my.tridenttech.edu email. Submit official final high school transcripts to TTC’s Admissions Office. • Final GPA must be a minimum of 3.0 on the SC Uniform Grading Policy. • Official transcripts must include ALL final grades, with no work in progress, and a calculation date on or before June 15 of your graduation year. Additional criteria and information for the SC LIFE Scholarship Current Requirements
• Enrollment in at least 12 college-level (non-remedial) credits each semester to meet the full-time enrollment requirement. A student must complete 30 credit hours annually to qualify for renewal.
• If you withdraw from classes after the final add/drop date, you will still receive the SC LIFE Scholarship. However,
you will not earn hours for those classes and may not meet the renewal requirements. Hours earned during the summer semester can be applied to the renewal requirement (SC Lottery Tuition Assistance cannot be received after SC LIFE has begun).
• Students enrolled at TTC may only receive the SC LIFE Scholarship within two years of their date of initial college enrollment. This is equivalent to 4 eligible consecutive semesters (excluding the Summer semester).
• Students who receive the SC LIFE Scholarship are not eligible to receive SC Lottery Tuition Assistance during the same academic year. Students in a remediation period may qualify for both; please contact us for details regarding this exception.
• Students with disabilities may be approved to take a reduced course load to meet the full-time enrollment and
renewal requirements. The minimum GPA requirement remains at 3.0 for all students. Contact TTC's Counseling and Career Development Office (843.574.6131 or Counseling.Services@tridenttech.edu) for more information.
Renewal Requirements
• Minimum SC LIFE GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The SC LIFE GPA policy calculates all college-level grades from every college you have attended. AP, IB, CLEP, and Dual Credit coursework will be considered for renewal. Please note: your TTC GPA may differ from your SC LIFE GPA.
• Students whose initial college enrollment begins in the Spring semester must earn 15 credit hours and a 3.0 SC LIFE GPA before the beginning of the following Fall semester.
• If the student fails to earn the 3.0 SC LIFE GPA and/or earns the required number of credit hours during the Fall
and/or Spring semesters, the student may earn hours during the Summer semester to try and meet renewal requirements. The SC LIFE Scholarship will not cover expenses for the Summer semester, and the student cannot receive SC Lottery Tuition Assistance.
• Students must submit a new SC LIFE Scholarship affidavit annually to be considered for the award. Eligibility Appeal
• The SC Commission on Higher Education is the sole authority for SC LIFE Scholarship appeals. If an extenuating
circumstance caused you to fall short of the renewal requirements, you may be eligible to file an appeal. Extenuating Circumstance is defined as a situation that involves a serious health condition of the student, the death or a serious health condition of an immediate family member, or a traumatic/extraordinary event.
