Hilltop jUNIOR–senior High School

In 1957 the tradition of naming a senior male athlete of the year began in the Westmont Hilltop School District and has been a yearly tradition. With the passage of Title IX which gave women’s sports an equitable role in public education, the female athlete of the year began in 1977.

This award is voted on by the head coaches in each of our sponsored sports. The award is presented to an outstanding athlete who excels in multiple sports and has made a significant mark in Westmont Hilltop athletics. This years female award winner is Morgan Faight, a four sport ath- lete who excelled in soccer, track, cross country and basketball. On the male side, we have co-winners.

Maximus Zitnay has made his mark in soccer, track and cross country and Gavin Hockenberry who shined in Football, and

Baseball as well as Hockey. Recognition of these athletes is on display in the school, and is a source of pride and inspiration for young athletes who strive to succeed and stand out in the area of Athletics.
