Artt Attac Attack Camping,, Ne New Norm Gradua aduation By Brod Art Rivera Annual Memorial Weekend Camping - Every year, we all look forward to enjoying the great outdoors to frolic, to have fun, go fishing and simply bask in the fellowship with our families and friends. This year will be different because of social distancing and cancellation of big crowd gatherings and events including our Lake Perris camping because of the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic. We can still have the little ones enjoy the weekend in our backyards. Peg the tent, do barbecue, sip a glass of wine, drink a couple of beers or take a shot of your favorite cognac or whiskey. Most importantly, let us honor those who fought for our freedom so that we may celebrate the blessings of today, after all, this is the meaning of Memorial Day. The New Norm - Since the national announcement of Stay at Home order and Health Guidelines, we have been confined in our respective sanctuaries. We all have been doing more housework, cooking more, watching more TV and movies, reading more, shopping on-line, zumba, yoga, walking, biking, gardening or simply relaxing or doing nothing. Virtual meetings, birthday celebrations, balcony concerts, Sunday services on live streaming, family facetime calls, drive-by visits or as the Brods call it e-numan have become the common and interesting media of communications. Teachers have inspired their students through learning methods that are different, fun and inspiring. And face masks of all kinds, designs and colors are the new trends and has taken the fashion world by storm including the banks! The Frontliners - We salute, honor and are grateful for all the Doctors, Nurses, medical professionals, essential workers, and first responders for their dedication, courage and compassion in carrying out their duties tending to the sick and the afflicted and those who work delivering food to the elderly and the needy. During this time of anxiety, uncertainty and fear, we place our reliance on their shoulders, the new heroes and angels, and we pray for strength and hope for cure of this global crisis. We lift up the souls of friends and family members who have succumbed to the deadly virus and we pray for the afflicted that they will soon be on the road to recovery. Let us keep the faith and look to the light at the end of the tunnel. Continued on page 8
