It denitely wasn’t because of pressure.There was this Do you have a specic beauty routine you swear by ? If erroneous belief back then in secondary school that if so what is it ? you were very intelligent, then you belonged in science Yes I do.I do a four step routine. First I cleanse with face class and among the science students, the coveted wash,then apply toner on to a cotton pad and clean my professional courses were medicine, engineering, face and neck. Next is my vitamin C serum and then my pharmacy, architecture.Most of us just went for moisturizer. I do this religiously everyday.

What beauty product/products can you not do without ?

I absolutely cannot do without my moisturizer.It’s skin food and lack of moisture will age the skin so I’m sure to always moisturise.I’m big on Clarins products.

How often do you wear makeup ?

I wear make up VERY often because of the nature of my job. So whenever I’m not on set, attending events or doing photo shoots, I go make up free to let my skin breathe. During the lockdown, I quite enjoyed the fact that I went for so long without wearing make up.

As an actress, in what areas do you feel you would like to improve?

I think that in Nollywood generally, we don’t tell a lot of stories about skilled characters. I welcome the opportunity to learn new skills in order to enable me to believably interpret a character.I would love to do things like learning taekwondo, learn to ride a horse, learn to shoot with a bow and arrow.,things like that.That being said though, would be near impossible to gure out what skills to learn if you don’t know what roles are in your future.

Who do you look up to in the industry?

Blessing Egbe. She’s intelligent, she’s hardworking, she’s creating socially relevant content and she’s not in competition with anybody. She just does her thing.

Is there any role you've acted that pulled you out of your comfort zone?

Interestingly, I’m constantly looking forward to roles that are far from my real self. I’m naturally adventurous, I’m naturally adventurous, so I constantly seek out a challenge. Playing Tomilola Wright in the movie “RUN” which I wrote and produced so I constantly seek out a challenge. took me completely out of my comfort zone. I’m not a runner but I had to run practically all through the movie on the streets of Lagos at night.I took it on because I and so many safety measures were taken on set( testing needed the challenge of doing something different.As before coming on set, use of sanitisers, hand washing). an actor, your comfort zone tends to get really boring. It’s the new normal.

What has been the greatest highlight of your acting career?

Every time I do a project that I really like/believe in for posterity is a highlight for me.

We know the pandemic has put a halt to various things but is there any project you are currently working on?

I just completed work on a lm about postpartum depression called “Fragile” opposite Femi Jacobs and directed by Quam Balogun.It’s an advocacy lm and the rst project that I have done since the pandemic began

What things should aspiring actors get involved in to prepare themselves for this career path?

An aspiring actor should -Have good headshots.- Have several monologues at their ngertips that can show their acting range.-Read and constantly learn about things. An actor needs to be intelligent and knowledgeable about things, it helps character interpretation.-Travel to learn and observe.-Study other actors and their acting choices -Read acting booksAttend acting classes and workshops-Go for auditionsLearn the skills that you can-Practice Practice Practiceeverything gets better with practice.
