eneral Manager Zaron Cosmetics – Mary-Jane Ohobu is no newbie in the Nigeria make up space . As she is the head honcho at Zaron cosmetics , overseeing the entire business chain. Currently overseeing 23 stores with their agship store/head ofce in Ikoyi, Lagos and 22 franchise stores across Nigeria, Mary Jane has her work cut out for her and leads quite a busy life which she loves and not complain.

Quite rare to see a business of this magnitude run effectively without its original owner - Oke Maduewesi in the picture all the time, Mary Jane has over the years earned both the trust of Oke as well as customers in steering the glamorous reigns of Zaron cosmetics .

MJ as she is fondly called, started her journey with Zaron from inception which will make it 10 years in september 2021.

I would describe my experience as a m a z i n g, e x p o s i n g, e x c i t i n g, tasking, mind blowing and much more and this has impacted my life in many great ways.

What is your most marked characteristic?

I am considerably calm in the face of any situation.

This has been one of the toughest challenges we have had to deal with as a brand as what this does is steal from your market share and much more. We have engaged the appropriate authorities and are constantly conducting raids on counterfeiters. however, the menace prevails. To safeguard our customers and ensure they are purchasing original products, we have attached scratch cards to all zaron products to help identify original products. all the customer needs to do is scratch this card and send an sms with the displayed code to the number provided. a message will be sent back to conrm authenticity.Sensitization is constantly on to inform our consumers on how best to identify original products.

Asides staying on top of your game ,when and where were you the happiest?

MJ - I am a home girl. I love my space and I am happiest there. It houses fond memories, my favourite people, some of my favourite things and very importantly, my favourite meals too

How many distributors do you manage?

MJ - Our products are sold via 1,000+ distributors as well as franchise outlets established in over 30 different locations both in nigeria and across africa, including the uk and north america.

Who do you admire most in the beauty sector?
