ABOUT TBHC With the progress of Triangle Fraternity, the Building Loan Fund knew it needed to evolve to support housing needs in parallel to the Fraternity’s vision. In 2014, it was decided that the BLF would transition to a stand-alone entity to enable a more dynamic response to the Fraternity’s housing needs.

In 2014 the Triangle Building & Housing Corporation was formed in order to own & manage chapter assets, increase loan & mortgage services, implement expanded educational training & programs, and partner with local house corporations & alumni to implement industry standard life safety programs & facilities.

Over the last five years, the TBHC has created a larger profile in direct partnerships with local alumni & house corporations to create and improve chapter opportunities across the realm.

UNDERGRADUATE SUPPORT

Through the Propoerty Improvement Contest Active Chapters are encouraged to undertake improvement projects in their Chapter Houses and/or communities. Project exmaples could be, but are not limited to, such things as improving life safety (fire safety, security, accessibility), general home improvement projects (landscaping, paint, room remodeling, bike racks, flooring, LED lighting, etc.) and community improvements/involvement (playground equipment, FIRST Robotics sponsor/volunteer).

CONSULTING Personal, relevant, experiential based assistance & guidance on housing, finance, construction, renovation, and management.

EDUCATION

Grants totaling up to $10,000 per year will be disbursed in the form

of payment to chapter national accounts based on the following:

Total number of project proposals submitted, estimated costs of

proposed project, quality of proposal and the project, and the impact of the project.
