U P C O M I N G E V E N T S April 18, 2026 Founders’ Day
Happy Spring from the Pitt Chapter of Triangle! I would first like to congratulate the 13 men who joined our brotherhood in 2025, and our 11 new members pledging to join this spring semester! This will bring our total number of active members to 35.
Throughout this past year, we have been really focused on expanding our presence on Pitt’s campus and evolving our chapter.
With the guidance of Pitt’s Cathedral Standards of Excellence Program and working with our advisors, we are maximizing our programming and developing our men Moving forward, we plan to further expand on topics that involve Triangle’s core values. In particular we are providing more professional development opportunities as well as more frequent community service and volunteering.

Membership Update
At the beginning of the second half of the academic year, I was excited to welcome a new class of brothers that will continue to build the strong legacy of Pitt Triangles. While we are still early on in the journey, the group eagerly engaged in recruitment and introductory activities, and I am looking forward to welcoming them each into the brotherhood. The future of Pitt Triangle is bright!
In the fall, we started the
Academic and Professional Development
This past year, our chapter has continued to raise the bar both academically and professionally. Brothers have demonstrated strong classroom performance, with many earning honors recognition and maintaining GPAs well above campus averages. Beyond academics, members have secured competitive internships, fulltime job offers, and research positions in various fields.
To further support these achievements, the chapter introduced a new Professional Development Chair position.
semester with a retreat for active brothers (thank you to Brother John Gargani for hosting us!). Throughout the fall, brothers enjoyed time spent together at tailgates as well as service and philanthropy events as we continued to build the next generation of STEM leaders.

This role is still developing, but focuses on coordinating résumé workshops, interview prep sessions, alumni networking opportunities, and career panels to help every brother prepare for success after graduation. The addition of this position reflects our ongoing commitment to building better men.
In addition to the academic and professional development of our brothers, our fraternity continues to show up for each other and on campus. We maintain involvement in philanthropic goals, such as
Training Weekend, hosted by the Triangle National Headquarters in Indiana. They came back with new connections and ideas on how we can continue to strive for excellence in our chapter we are incredibly thankful for the support of alumni brothers in that effort.

Recruitment Update
With each new class of brothers, the Pitt Chapter of Triangle Fraternity continues to grow larger, stronger, and more connected. I’m proud to share that this spring was one of our most successful recruitment seasons yet, with at least 11 new members initiated. This momentum is a direct result of the hard work from our brothers and our evolving event lineup.

Philanthropic Efforts
This year, the Pitt Chapter of Triangle continued strong philanthropic efforts, focusing on the National Ataxia Foundation and Pitt Dance Marathon. Under my leadership of Philanthropy Chair in the spring and Tyler Pierce in the fall, we raised over $700 for the two causes. This was highlighted by successful events like Trivia Night and our annual Rent-AGent.
In addition to our fundraising efforts, Triangle brothers dedicated well over 900 hours of community service these last two semesters averaging over 19 hours per brother.

With the level of interest we’ve built this year, I’m confident we’re in a great position for another outstanding and potentially record-breaking
recruitment class next fall. That progress is only possible because of the commitment, character, and consistency of our brothers.
With every new class, Triangle continues to set the standard for leadership, brotherhood, philanthropy, and communitythe values that make our chapter one of the most dynamic organizations at Pitt.

We continued our involvement in Pitt’s Civic Action Week, assisting and giving back to our local Pittsburgh community.
Our chapter also worked to build stronger relations within the Pitt campus and the Greek Life community Within the last two semesters, Triangle brothers participated in numerous other organization's events, including Phi Sigma Rho, Kappa Delta, Sigma Delta Tau, among others
Furthering more relationships in and out of Greek Life will continue to be emphasized this semester.
Finally, I want to highlight a major achievement of some of
our brothers in the past spring semester. Nine of our brothers, after months of dance practices, won second place at Greek Sing 2025, along with our teammates Sigma Delta Tau and Pi Lamba Phi. We hope to continue our winning traditions this semester with Alpha Delta Pi and Delta Tau Delta.
By collaborating in philanthropy, service, and social programming, Triangle remains committed to fostering a more connected, engaged, and supportive Pitt community.

Semester Reflection
As we are halfway through the spring semester, here are some great moments from the past year. We’ve made some great progress in a number of categories. I would proudly say that Triangle Fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh is growing and developing substantially. Including eager aspirations, devoted new members, and a very committed Executive Board, the current and future status of the chapter look more promising than ever.
From my perspective, the chapter has been able to operate at our desired level and expectation throughout the year. As we move into this new chapter of 2026, I want to highlight our biggest goal.
Same as previous years, we have been putting significant work and time into our recruitment. We are always improving and expanding our pool of new members to make sure we find the men who fit our ideals best

I hope you’re enjoying the newsletter If you’re looking to get involved or support the chapter, there are plenty of options!
We host monthly alumni-active happy hours throughout the city This is a wonderful chance to chat with current actives in the chapter or to catch up with old friends! We usually post about the time and location on our Facebook group, Discord server, and mailing list. I highly encourage any alumni who are interested to join any, or all, of these groups!
One of the most valuable things you can donate is your time. The Pittsburgh Chapter Alumni Board is always looking for alumni to get involved and help make a difference within the chapter.
The alumni board helps connect the alumni with the active chapter through events like Founders’ Day, alumni hangouts, the homecoming tailgate, and alumni-led CMEs. It’s also a great way to meet other alumni you may not have the opportunity to otherwise. Please join our Facebook group and/or the chapter discord server for more information about upcoming events such as Founders’ Day this upcoming April!
One way which involves my position, is the development of a new member scholarship which would cover the new member recipient’s dues for that semester. We believe that this scholarship would help encourage new members to make it to initiation, as well as push them to better themselves and get more involved in brotherhood activities in order to be awarded said scholarship.
