Fall new members

We continue to operate alumni meetings in a hybrid format, with brothers meeting at the house and utilizing a video conference setup to allow access on Zoom for those who are far away or otherwise unable to attend in person. We have made it to 60 years of brotherhood at MSOE. We couldn’t have done it without the help of everyone who has come before us to make the organization what it is today, and as such we cheers to you!

Our actives continue to excel, earning high marks within the National Organization’s Building

Better Men program. Through the achievements in that program, our Actives earned Chapter of the Year which came with a $100,000 donation to our Chapter Endowment Fund (CEF).

The CEF has been used to build a makers space in the office and help to offset the education fees that are incurred as a member of Triangle. Continuing the work of the classes before them, they will make sure the legacy lives on and we can continue building on that great foundation.

Newsletter Update The Alumni Board of Directors has chosen to partner with Triangle’s national organization for the publishing of this newsletter as well as our future mailings. This arrangement will facilitate a marked increase in our communication with our community of alumni featuring spring and fall newsletters and a short postcard mailing in the summer. Contributions to the alumni organization allow us to facilitate brotherhood events with the alumni and active brothers as well as fund events for rush and other fraternal happenings when needed. Our suggested annual contribution remains $25, this is payable via check mailed to the chapter house (1706 E Irving Place, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202) or by credit card via our website MSOETriangle.org.

Active Organization Update

MSOE Triangle 60th Anniversary Celebration

Through the hard work of both Actives and Alumni we have continued to grow the chapter.

The active organization initiated four new members on December 5, 2025 bringing the total number of brothers to fifteen. Two actives are juniors currently studying abroad. The chapter’s main philanthropy event is their annual participation in Movember, they raised over $500 this year to support awareness and research for men’s mental and physical health issues. They have been focusing on decluttering and maintaining the chapter home, more details about projects completed and underway can be found on the next page.

On January 25th, 2025, one hundred and eleven Triangle Active Brothers, Alumni, and guests met at the Deer District in Downtown Milwaukee to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our chapter’s founding. The evening featured a live performance by Milwaukee legend Pat McCurdy, opportunities to interact with and support the active chapter, a massive lineage tree, and appearances by several members of Triangle’s national staff. Thank you to all who attended and helped to make the night special, as well as brothers Chris Gust ‘12, Jon Kuderer ‘12, Garrett Mulkerin ‘17, and Paul Rinaldi ‘21 for their efforts in planning and organizing. our VIP 60th anniversary club members who’s extra contributions to support the chapter will be honored with a plaque in the makerspace at the chapter home.

CEF Update Our chapter endowment fund has grown to $130k from donations and $100k from Triangle rewards for a total of $230k. This is a huge accomplishment for our CEF fundraising and the active organization's work toward the national organization's rewards.

With our yearly funds available to us, we were able to give scholarships totaling $7,200!

tax opportunities. Beginning in the 2026 tax year, a new deduction allows non-itemizers to deduct cash donations to charity. You could deduct up to $2,000 on top of the standard deduction. This is a great benefit for everyone!

Housing Improvements and Repairs Since the publishing of our last newsletter, a number of Brothers have been hard at work making repairs and updates to our chapter home. Repairs made include: replacement of a stair

tread and landing tiles on the front stairs, replacement of a floor grate and tiling in the kitchen, and a rebuild of the retaining wall in the front yard.

The back stairs from the first to second floor were completely replaced and the wood floors on the first floor were refinished, both of which were much needed and have gone a long way to make the house safer and more attractive. To support social functions, the basement sound system was updated. We would like to extend a huge thank you on behalf of the

organization to all those who participated including Brothers Justin Campbell, Thomas Benzshawel, Joe Zuniga, and many more! Large projects on the horizon include renovation of the second floor bathroom and replacement of the house’s windows to improve the appearance of the house and reduce our energy costs. SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS Jack Ford Major: Software Engineering Plans after Graduation: I am likely not relocating after graduation, but I do not have a job lined up just yet. I am looking for a job that focuses on data science and software engineering.

Favorite Triangle Experience: The semester retreat! It was fun to hang out with my brothers for a weekend up north.

Andy Dao Major: Software Engineering, Minor: Data Science Plans after Graduation: I plan to obtain a job in software engineering application development and work with end users and clients to help make the world more accessible.

Favorite Triangle Experience: When we came together to pursue volunteering for a local robotics tournament close to my hometown.

Estevan Onorato Major: Computer Science Plans after Graduation: Going to move back home, looking for a job, currently have an internship. Looking for Data science or Software engineering job in the Chicago land/Milwaukee area.

Favorite Triangle Experience: New Berlin Soapbox Derby, an event run by MSOE alumni brother where children build soapbox cars, and brothers volunteer and help children during the event. Outcome from meaningful philanthropy: Seeing new members grow from freshmen to juniors and becoming respectable hard-working men, grown by Triangle experiences.

Kyle Hekkers Major: Electrical Engineering Plans after Graduation: I am seeking a position in embedded systems or robotics where I can apply my skills and grow as an engineer.

Favorite Triangle Experience: My favorite Triangle experience was going to SummerFest with my brothers. It was an unforgettable day that brought us together.

Aiden Miller Major: Computer Science Plans after Graduation: I'll be moving back home to Minneapolis and working remote for Juno Tax, a startup making software to improve CPAs life.

Favorite Triangle Experience: I think retreat during my pledging semester has some of my favorite memories, specifically when we were doing some late night bonding games to get to know each other better.

MSOE News Milwaukee School of Engineering announced the “Next Bold Step: The Campaign to Accelerate Innovation” on Monday, March 3, 2025. The $125 million comprehensive campaign will directly support the university’s mission to prepare leaders to solve the technical challenges of the 21st century, including its goal of becoming the national leader in the education of applied artificial intelligence.

At the heart of the Next Bold Step campaign are philanthropic efforts to support MSOE’s new Robert D. Kern Engineering Innovation Center, which will promote innovative modes of education and support the growing needs of MSOE’s students. The $76.5 million, 4-story, 97,000-square-foot academic building will have flexible labs, modern classrooms, workshops focused on robotics and AI, an outdoor sustainability lab, and public spaces that support collaborative learning across all disciplines, with a focus on integrating AI and Machine Learning into all of MSOE’s engineering programs.
