The progress on the rebuilding of West has been very apparent as the photos show. There are many things in progress that are not as visible, however. Plans for upgrading the main house have been made and most of that will begin sometime next year. A few items could not wait and had to be addressed right away. Other areas require focus as well: Organizational structure: we now have a Householding Corporation that is a nonprofit corporation that is the owner of the property. The Householding Corporation leases the property to the https://trianglemom.org
House construction
chapter corporation (usually referred to as the alumni organization) as another nonprofit corporation. The chapter then has a contract with the undergraduates (usually referred to as the actives) where the operations are funded through the individual housebills. This is done to isolate the property from any liabilities the chapter may incur. Fundraising: The current amount of donated funds is near $1.7 million which will fund the rebuilding of West and most of the upgrades for the main house.
We are still seeking additional donations. We want to increase the number of donors. We want as many of our alumni as possible to be invested in the rebuild of West and the updates to the main house. Donations of any amount will help achieve the rebuild/renovation but, more importantly, demonstrate the importance the donors hold for Triangle. This is important for all working towards the goals of creating a strong, self-sustaining chapter. We cannot say enough about how appreciative we are for those who have given money so far and want to see that continue. 1
FALL 2026
Tracking Progress: In addition to updates with pictures on the rebuild progress. We will continue to report on the financial aspects – tracking expenditures and additional donations. Besides keeping those invested in fraternity informed, we want to make sure that the path to being a selfsustaining chapter (income from members fund operations and updates/repairs in the future) is clear and the path is progressing. Look for more updates as progress continues and please consider your investment in Triangle. Donations should be sent to: By check: c/o Andy Goetz 1133 Lindenwood Ave St Charles, MO 63301 Using CashApp: https://cash.app/$MOMinesTriangle
It’s Homecoming Time Here is an overview of the schedule for Homecoming 2026. It goes without saying that alumni that come to Homecoming are a very important part of the experience for being a member of Missouri Mines Triangle. It is great to reconnect with others, catch up with the chapter and the university, and get an up-close update on the progress for Triangle West. All events are on Saturday:

Active chapter takes over all maintenance and repair by Fall 2029 • Re-build West Increase capacity. Make major improvement in chapter finances. Maintain competitive housebill. Establish very attractive alternative for upperclassmen. • Main chapter house Dedicated area for group study away from high-traffic areas Space set up for projects and house maintenance.
Re-work, re-organize parts of main house. • Clean up legal structure. West Construction Update ALUMNI BOARD VICEPRESIDENT MIKE KINSELLA
Demolition of West was completed on June 10th after a lengthy building permit review process was completed by the City of Rolla. Ground was broken on July 8th and since then, the footings and basement walls have been poured and waterproofed. The footing drain system and basement floor plumbing have been installed. We have had several weeks’ delay waiting on a duplex pump
Continuity - Key to Success One of the important things for the alumni board is to establish greater continuity and consistency for the overall organization. Certainly, there have been ups and downs with undergraduate membership and with that, a loss in the institutional knowledge of how to run the fraternity. That had to be relearned over time through heroic effort by new members that brought back the numbers and dealt with the problems the venerable house suffered from lack of investment in repairs and improvement projects. To everyone’s credit, things have been moving in a positive direction, with the next big step opening West with a major renovation.

unit for the basement sump but expect to pour the basement floor and begin setting floor joists, backfill and begin framing by September 1st. Projected completion date is July 15, 2027. A monthly update of progress will be sent out via email to alumni along with a current photo of activity. We will continue to post photos of the construction progress at https://photos.app.goo.gl/D98p PDjJGJ8yrZGSA
To address the ups and downs, some dedicated alumni have built a functioning alumni board and divided responsibilities for property management by reestablishing a Householding Corporation. The alumni board is still the one with oversight responsibilities assigned to the House Oversight Committee and for working with the undergraduates for advising and addressing issues. As alumni understand, there are always issues of varying degrees. One other responsibility is dealing with the university and their “new” oversight group that requires each chapter having an alumnus for their meetings and their interactions. The rules of the university continue to change (despite all the fraternity alumni advisors’ efforts) in areas that are perceived to be not for the better.
Here are the leaders for the current organization: Alumni Board: President – Stephen Lang, First Vice-President – Mike Kinsella, - Second Vice-President – Wyatt Pickett, Secretary – Cody Meece, and Treasurer – Ryan Spillers. There are four members of the Householding Oversight Committee – led by Kristian Dehaan - Chair, a ViceChair, Secretary, and Treasurer (with the alumni board treasurer also serving in this role). The Householding Corporation has five members: Chairman – Stephen Land, Secretary – Randy Kerns, Treasurer – Andrew Goetz, with at large members – David Brewer and Josh Buedel. So, get involved. Those who contribute financially are making a major difference in chapter success as well. Thank you. 3

Addressing Chapter Needs By Contributing to Missouri Mines Chapter Endowment Fund and the House Fund
The Chapter Endowment Fund exists to help address individual chapter needs. The program is designed to provide additional funding to chapters each year to support educational, leadership, and academic programs that advance the mission of Triangle in building better men in the fields of engineering, architecture, and science. The brothers, the chapter, and the house deeply appreciate your generosity; hundreds of generous brothers and friends have made their investment in the future of the Missouri Mines chapter. The House Fund contributions go for reconstruction of West and major repairs for the main House. These contributions can be tax deductible up to a specific percentage. The Alumni Board should be contacted for the specific details regarding tax deductibility and for coordinating the donation.
