Chapter Founders’ Day

Celebration

Last spring, the Michigan Chapter celebrated a monumental anniversary since its founding in February 1925. A lot has changed over the past 100 years within the national Triangle organization, the local chapter, and the U-M campus, but the heart of the fraternity remains the same. It was wonderful to see both active and alumni members come together to enjoy the occasion with great food and shared memories throughout the years.

If you missed this Founders’ Day celebration, we hope to see you at the next one. If your pledge class is celebrating an upcoming anniversary, we would be happy to help coordinate a spring reunion Please reach out to ryanskop@umich.edu if interested.

Building Bonds and Welcoming New Members

Looking beyond alumni events, the brotherhood has been very active in welcoming and teaching our 15 new members about Triangle. Earlier this semester, they participated in our annual new member trip, where we camped at our chef Joyce’s house. It was a great opportunity to connect with nature and get to know the new members while taking a break from classes. We played football, enjoyed Joyce’s amazing food, and spent the evenings talking by the fire It was an awesome experience for the new members to see the brotherhood outside of the stress of school.

The new members have also been active in our brotherhood events, including our recent Oktoberfest hot dog eating contest and a résumé workshop to prepare for the upcoming career fair. These events have helped us strengthen our bonds and support each other’s professional development. They were also introduced to the concept of Bigs and Littles through our new “speed dating”

Alumni Updates and Opportunities

If you missed the previous update in August, the Michigan Alumni Board has decided to transfer the Washtenaw Ave. house to the Triangle Building and Housing Corporation (TBHC). Operations will remain

the same for current members, and TBHC’s assets and experience will bring muchneeded near- and long-term improvements to the Michigan property. We are excited to see where this partnership leads!

The Alumni Board also has several open positions and welcomes alumni of all ages and locations to get involved with the chapter. Opportunities include serving on the housing committee, chapter coaching, event planning and fundraising, alumni relations, and more. If you’re interested or have questions about any of these

event, where brothers and pledges took turns getting to know each other to find their potential Greek family match. We are now looking forward to our Big/Little Night in a few weeks, where each new member will be paired with a mentor within the brotherhood. As they interview the brothers, we have also been learning more about them, and we could not be more excited. There are some incredible men in this pledge class from all over the country, and the brotherhood cannot wait to initiate them.

roles, please contact Ryan Skop at ryanskop@umich.edu or 517304-4441.

Keep an eye out for future updates on upcoming alumni events in 2026!
