Housing Update

In 2020, the House Corporation of the Michigan Chapter launched the Securing Our Second Century Campaign to raise $1 million in support of renovations for our Ann Arbor Chapter House. Early leadership commitments raised more than $350,000 in gifts and pledges. We are immensely grateful for those who supported the campaign.

As you know, much has changed since 2020 including the state of the chapter, turnover in alumni leadership, and rising construction costs.

These challenges have led us to pause the campaign and reevaluate our goals and plans I’m writing today to provide you with an update:

A new alumni board has been recruited to support the chapter, and we continue to seek additional board members, advisors, and chapter coaches.

We are working with the Triangle Building and Housing Corporation on a financing plan that will allow substantial work to be completed on the chapter house

Money from the campaign has been invested in maintenance to address mechanical and lifesafety issues. This includes a new boiler installed in 2023

We are collaborating closely with Triangle Fraternity staff and the Triangle Education Foundation to support chapter operations Thanks to a donation to Triangle Fraternity, we have hired Quinn Moran, an expert in

recruitment and chapter growth, to work with our active leadership. Quinn has had tremendous success with Triangle at Purdue and Iowa State and is proving to be a valuable asset to Michigan.

Your generous support remains crucial to the future of our chapter and is deeply appreciated. If you have any questions about the chapter, please reach out to me at ryanskop@umich.edu.
