Joyce E. Phillips OWENSVILLE — Joyce E. Phillips, 86, of Owensville, passed away Nov. 6, 2019. Her final journey was spent at home alongside her loved ones, being honored and lovingly cared for by her daughters and granddaughters until being released from their hands into the peaceful comfort of our Heavenly father. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota to Campbell and Alice Stenberg. Her childhood farm is where she found her love of animals and the outdoors. Recalling how she proudly showed their Angus cattle at the fair and sharing memories of her adventurous expeditions of the countryside with her horse, Birdie. She would often add that she was just as tough as any boy. As a young woman, her joy of exploring continued. Her husband, Marvin, served 20 years in the army allowing the two of them to visit and live in many parts of the world, including Germany and Paris. Having lived in both Fargo and Alaska, she would fondly reflect on her experiences with bitterly cold winters and having to drive in several feet of snow. Her family would grow to appreciate her stories as another nod toward just how tough she was. Joyce loved her family more than anything in the world, a family full of girls, in which she was the absolute center of. The family wishes to
