It’s a busy time of year at the Chamber. As always, we’re participating in BDC’s Small Business Week but this year, we’re switching things up from the original 5 days, 5 seminars format. Instead we’ll be hosting an inaugural Business Showcase on October 18 at the Executive Plaza Hotel Coquitlam from 3:00 – 8:00PM. The Business Showcase will feature more than 50 exhibitors, hundreds of attendees and an Education Lab providing 3 seminars geared towards small businesses. The goal of this event is to build business, create new connections and share stories of success while providing practical advice on how to succeed.

EVENT DETAILS Tuesday, October 18 Tickets start at $15+GST 3:00 - 8:00PM Executive Plaza Hotel Coquitlam

AGENDA

Michael Hind, CEO

On October 18, the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and our partners the Business Development Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust, The City of Coquitlam and Sharon Perry, Chartered Professional Accountant encourage small business owners and entrepreneurs to join us in learning how to best utilize Google search marketing, whether you should incorporate or not and how to create a great workplace culture. Our goal is to provide the tools for business owners, employees and individuals to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. We also encourage the community at large to stop by for a drink and appies to better get to know the incredible businesses in the Tri-Cities. The Business Showcase is open to the public; tickets include parking, a free drink, appies, seminars and the opportunity to create new and long lasting relationships. Register today and save on ticket prices! Visit www.tricitieschamber.com to register. I hope to see you there!

BUSINESS INSURANCE Much like sunscreen, business insurance is one of those things you don’t realize how important it is until you’ve been burned. Unfortunately, it’s often small business owners who are financially devastated by a loss that could have been insured.
