JR Club Championship
Saturday, the 2024 Junior Club championship took place. Thank you to all those who came out and competed in the hot and humid afternoon. It was a pleasure watching the future of the game compete.
We had two divisions in Saturday's 9 hole competition. The 11 and under division played a modified course with par 3s playing at 50 yards, par 4s at 100 yards, and the lone par 5 played 150 yards. Our eventual champion, George Broadbent, started out with a bang, carding an eagle 2 on the par 4 1st. George, our youngest competitor, carded the only sub par round of the day shooting a 9 hole score of 34.
JR Club Championship
Our 12 and over division played the course at its normal forward tee length of 2,600 yards. There were golf shots galore with this group of competitors. Long tee shots, lengthy putts, and immaculate recovery shots were made seemingly on every hole. Robert Lewis III emerged victorious as the Champion recording a 49. In route to his winning score, Robert drained a 30 ft down hill putt on #5 that was most impressive.
