Opening Day 2024
The Golf Professional Staff cordially invites you to participate in the Two Thousand and Twenty Four Opening Day Par 3 Tournament to be held at Lexington, Kentucky the eleventh of April. Following play will be dinner and a guest speaker, David Moore
The Par 3 Tournament is a 9 hole competition open to both men and women. Holes will be shortened to manageable distances, but the flagsticks will be placed in unfamiliar places. Prizes will be awarded to the best scores of both men and women. Our advice is to bring the flatstick.

David Moore David Moore is a professional golf historian, consultant, and writer based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A native of the Pocono Mountains, Dave earned his bachelor’s in American History from the University of Pittsburgh and his master’s in Public History from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. (PA) and the Youngstown Since 2016, Dave has served as the Country Club(OH), among Curator of Collections at Oakmont others. Country Club and the Curator of Dave is a proud member of the History of Allegheny Country Club Donald Ross Society and the Golf since 2020. He has also worked as an Heritage independent consultant for Clubs since Society (GHS). His writing has 2022, helping the likes of Montclair Golf Club (NJ), Pittsburgh Field Club been recognized by the GHS with the 2022
