A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

I’d like to welcome the officials, players and supporters to what promises to be a very exciting Ardal Southern League South East fixture at CSE this evening against RTB Ebbw Vale.

Saturday saw us overcoming a strong Denbigh side to win the Dragon Signs FAW Amateur Trophy, it was a brilliant day for the club and its travelling supporters. I’d like to reflect for a moment on the magnitude of the competition – it is the second most prestigious football competition within Wales and had 250 clubs competing.

Trethomas Bluebirds are the first team from South Wales to win the competition since Abergavenny Town in 2016 and join the list of prestigious previous winners such as Aberystwyth Town, Barry Town and Caernarfon.

After the fantastic achievements from Saturday, and with five more league games to go, it’s important to remember that half the job is still to do. Every game will be like a cup final with each team having their own reasons for giving it all for the three points. We continue to chase promotion which has been our main aim this season, with the added bonus of looking to “do the double”.
