This issue is a landmark for CovetED. It’s been two years since we first launched the magazine! CovetED was created by a group of designers with the aim of celebrating design with the world’s top professionals in the field, and share with the world their inspirations. Over time, CovetED found its place in the design world and is now one of the most important magazines in this sector, with a very specific style and a collectable character. Milan Design Week works as the background for CovetED #6, since it was the chosen place to launch this issue, followed up by an important preview at BaselWorld, the Watch & Jewellery show. Inside, you will be able to see what top brands from both shows are presenting as new for 2017, from watches & jewellery to furniture & lighting. And since you will probably be visiting Milan during the most important Design event of the year, you will also find a guide to the Design Week’s most CovetED showrooms, hotels and restaurants. If not, maybe we can inspire you to visit the city sometime soon. Moreover, you will find as usual interviews to a selection of top designers about their work, inspirations and projects by the best of the best Interior design firms. After two years of consolidated work, we will also start a collection of Interior Design Books edited by CovetED, which you will find in a bookshop near you on the second semester of 2017. This collection is composed of a series of different books for each room division. Every book has a deeper exploitation of ideas and a wide range of styles. The first book contains hundreds of ideas for Entryways & Hallways selected by a team of interior designers who searched for projects all over the world. It is a blend of projects from renowned interior designers and a combination of designs from the most luxurious and exquisite brands. Be part of CovetED World and enjoy all the new things we have to offer in our third year of existence. EDITOR IN CHIEF

Apart from all the similarities, each object has its own unique design that makes us feel different emotions and feelings. And the inspiration that we take from each one is also unique and recalls several different interpretations, depending on how we look at them and our point of view.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW //
Description of the project Apartment in Moscow, 80 m² When a small apartment falls into the hands of a responsible designer, the first thing he should do is be concerned about the comfort of the client and be focused on functionality. But if the owners of the apartments are artistic and easy-going people, always prepared for any experiments, the designer will not miss a chance to add some new ideas. Initially, the apartment was a typical example of “stalinka” (architecture style of the Soviet Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin, between 1933 and 1955, associated with the socialist realism school of art and architecture): a narrow hallway, a small kitchen, bathroom and WC separated. During the process of redevelopment, the designer used every square meter and the result was a bedroom with a wardrobe. In the living room, she found the place for a large dining table, and the corridor lost his area in order to expand to a spacious bathroom. The owners of the apartment, who often work at home, also received a personal cabinet.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW // The colour palette of apartments is built on deep blues and provocative shades of yellow that play with each other in every way. The Brightly coloured living room literally exploding in the small kitchen area, but then it switches to a half-whisper in the next room and newly discloses in the bedroom in a gentle flower theme. Geometric prints on carpets and textiles in the living room and bedroom are responsible for a new dynamic in the interior. The cabinet is decorated with discreet vintage stripes and cells. The atmosphere of the apartment is a mix of typical forms of American furniture and vintage style. For the lighting solutions, the Portuguese brand DelightFULL was the chosen one with the stunning suspension lamp Ella, which is a true design masterpiece. With its sober lines, it has surpassed the test of time. It is a style icon of the fifties and sixties perfectly suitable for a living room in a small apartment. Ella is a unique ceiling texture handmade in brass with 15 arms and aluminium lampshades.

ECLETIC APARTMENT VITERBO INTERIOR DESIGN
“The apartment is an eclectic mix of myriad styles, colours and textures and is a treasure trove filled with the avid collector´s art, furniture, fabrics and coral.”
PROJECTS // With offices in Portugal and Singapore, Viterbo Interior Design is a leading interior design family company whose success is based on the genuine effort to deliver a unique creation in every single project they work on. For the past 40 years, the firm has been nurturing a creative talent that combines their clients’ needs and boundaries with the designers’ own goals and design skills to exceed everyone’s expectations. This success has already crossed the national frontiers and Gracinha Viterbo features a bit all over the world. Over the years, the group has worked hard to enhance their customer’s experience through a highly customised approach and a strong commitment to their lifestyle vision, which is perfectly reflected in the present project. With the belief that every home tells a story and every space is a moment, this house is all about creating lifestyles and writing stories through spaces.
COVETED MAGAZINE PAGE 91.
The contrasting colours and textures of overlapping carpets, rough raffia against the luxuriant emerald green of a Diane Von Furstenberg Climbing Leopard Rug juxtaposed with a neutral cream, adds depth to a flat surface. The layering of cushions is custom made using antique fabrics, ikats and an assortment of other materials such metal studs. In this home, Gracinha Viterbo turned what was originally intended to be one dining space into a room within a room, by carving out a second living area. The child´s rooms are fun, comfortable, but functional and systematic at the same time. In the master bedroom, the eclecticism takes on an even bolder execution with a distinctively tropical feel and a touch of vintage. Nothing in this eclectic home matches in the conventional sense of the word but the deliberate dissonance results in a captivating and harmonious effect. This project reflects the unique lifestyle and personality of the client. However, it was left space for the story to be continued, so that the clients are able to keep “writing the never-ending story.
