It is with real pleasure that France Sans Tranchée Technologies (FSTT) is associated with the first edition of Trenchless Morocco. This event marks a significant step for the structuring and visibility of the trenchless sector in Morocco, and the FSTT is honoured to support it as a partner.
This event testifies to the growing interest in issues related to networks and infrastructure, in a context of regional development and modernisation. Trenchless Morocco offers a unique space for meetings, exchanges and sharing of experiences between the various players in the sector, whether institutional, technical or industrial.

Dr. Samuel Ariaratnam est le titulaire de la chaire Sunstate de gestion et d’ingénierie en construction et professeur à l’Université d’État de l’Arizona. Avec près de trois décennies de leadership dans l’ingénierie des pipelines sans tranchée, son travail a fait progresser à la fois les dimensions académiques et pratiques de l’infrastructure souterraine. With nearly three decades of leadership in trenchless pipeline engineering, his work has advanced both the academic and practical dimensions of underground infrastructure. Patrice Dupont est ingénieur de l’Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat. Il a débuté sa carrière au ministère de l’Environnement et était en charge de la lutte contre les crues et les défenses contre les inondations.
Il a été entre 1990 et 2000 l’un des acteurs de l’ambitieux Programme Seine Propre. Ce programme prévoyait de restituer à ce fleuve majeur de la zone de Paris une qualité sanitaire permettant le retour de la biodiversité et de la baignade.
Il a ainsi construit plusieurs dizaines de km de tunnels de 400 à 4000mm de diamètre. Plus récemment, il est le directeur de l’eau et de l’assainissement pour l’un des 4 départements parisiens (Seine Saint Denis), il est en charge de gérer 800km de réseau : réparation, réhabilitation, renforcement et développement.
Il est, aussi, président de France Sans Tranchée Technologie (FSTT : French Society for Trenchless Technology) depuis 2003 après en avoir été le secrétaire général pendant deux ans. Patrice Dupont is a graduate engineer from the École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’État (National School of Public Works). He began his career at the Ministry of the Environment, where he was responsible for flood control and flood defenses.
Between 1990 and 2000, he was a key player in the ambitious Seine Propre (Clean Seine) program. This program aimed to restore the Seine, a major river in the Paris region, to a sanitary quality that would allow for the return of biodiversity and make swimming possible.
He oversaw the construction of several dozen kilometers of tunnels ranging from 400 to 4000 mm in diameter. More recently, he has been the Director of Water and Sanitation for one of the four Parisian departments (Seine-Saint-Denis), where he is responsible for managing 800 km of the network: repair, rehabilitation, reinforcement, and development.

Jean-Marie Joussin graduated as an engineer from ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées). He worked for over 40 years in the construction and industrial sectors within French, Belgian, Austrian and Spanish Groups, with technical and management responsibilities covering France, Benelux, and French-speaking African countries.
Active in the water sector, he has participated as an expert in numerous working groups within CEN (TC155 WG14 and TC165 in particular), ASTEE (Scientific and Technical Association for Water and the Environment), and RERAU ((National Research and Development Group for the Renovation of Urban Sewers). He was President of the French committee for the standardisation of composite pipes.
Jean-Marie participated in the French CSTB certification committee and GS17 expert group responsible for evaluating and certifying new products or techniques in the field of wet networks. He is administrator and member of the Board and director of the FSTT (French Society for Trenchless Technologies) in charge of international activities and overseas French territories, FWI and French Guyana. He has been many years also a member of the ISTT International Council.

Fort de plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans les collectivités territoriales, il dirige les services techniques du Sedif, premier service public d’eau en France avec 4 millions d’usagers répartis dans 133 communes, 750 000 mètres cubes d’eau produits quotidiennement et 8 000 km de canalisations.

During this period, he follows the training of the National Institute of Territorial Studies (INET), path of excellence of the high territorial public service, and obtains in 2021 the title of chief engineer.
Before joining the SEDIF in January 2026, he was since June 2023 director of the Department of Sanitation and Quality of Aquatic Environments of the Val-de-Marne Departmental Council. In this capacity, he led the Baignade project involving major works such as the laying of 2 km of network with a diameter of 2000 mm, with the intervention of 3 micro tunnellers simultaneously.
With more than 20 years of experience in local authorities, he manages the technical services of Sedif, France’s leading public water service with 4 million users in 133 municipalities, 750,000 cubic meters of water produced daily and 8,000 km of pipes.

BKP est un producteur allemand de CIPP pour les revêtements en GRP traités aux UV et est l’un des principaux fournisseurs internationaux de cette technologie depuis 1997.
Depuis 2008, Börje est le fondateur et l’actionnaire principal d’un certain nombre d’entreprises sans tranchée en Asie du Sud-Est, notamment JBP Consultancy Services, Reline Asia (Malaisie) et BKP Berolina-Liner System (M) Sdn Bhd, qui sont les agents exclusifs du système Berolina Liner en Malaisie et dans d’autres pays de la région. Börje Persson, Swedish by birth, started working in the trenchless industry more than 30 years ago. He has been the Export Manager for BKP Berolina since 2004. BKP are a German-based CIPP producer of UV-cured GRP liners and have been one of the leading international suppliers of this technology since 1997.
Since 2008, Börje has been the founder and major shareholder in a number of trenchless companies in Southeast Asia, including JBP Consultancy Services, Reline Asia (Malaysia), and BKP Berolina-Liner System (M) Sdn Bhd, who are the exclusive agents for the Berolina Liner system in Malaysia and other countries in the region. Börje was awarded an ISTT Fellowship in 2024 in recognition of his contribution and dedication to the trenchless sector and community.

Diplômé de l’Université de Newcastle en droit et économie, Ian a travaillé pour Texon puis Epros et s’est ensuite diversifié en Asie. En étroite collaboration avec le PUB, plus de 150 km de CIPP latéral ont été spécifiés et installés entre 2002 et 2006. Ian has worked in the CIPP industry for over 20 years, both with lateral relining, mainline, lateral connections, patches and pressure pipes. Having graduated from the University of Newcastle in law and economics, Ian worked for Texon then Epros and then branched out into Asia. Working closely with the PUB in 2002-2006 over 150 km of lateral CIPP was specified and installed. This involved, setting design and onsite standards, looking at testing and developing the international testing and installation practises.
Ian has worked around the world, including Brazil, USA, Australia, and South Africa on CIPP related projects, specifications and innovations, and in the USA sitting on international panels reviewing standards and CIPP practices. He also develops specialised CIPP courses and has presented in China, Canada, UK and Brazil and is currently working in Columbia with their large CIPP programs as well.

Il a d’abord occupé le poste de chef de projet au sein du département Tunneling routier (TT), avant de devenir directeur technique des ventes (pays du Maghreb et France) pour le département Tunneling utilitaire (UT) de Herrenknecht AG.
Raphaël Sistermans est titulaire d’un diplôme en génie mécanique de la MTS aux Pays-Bas et d’une maitrise en marketing et vente du Conservatoire national des arts et métiers à Paris.
Raphaël Sistermans has been involved in the tunnelling business for more than 35 years. After several years of jobsite experience on different tunnelling construction sites worldwide, Raphaël Sistermans joined Herrenknecht AG in 1998.
First, he worked as project manager for the Traffic Tunnelling Department, now he is Technical Sales Manager (Maghreb Countries and France) for the Utility Tunnelling Department of Herrenknecht AG.
Raphaël Sistermans holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the MTS in Netherlands and a Masters in Marketing and Sales from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris.

With more than 20 years of experience in network rehabilitation, David Veltz is a recognised specialist in UV-cured GRP lining technologies and trenchless solutions.
He has been with RelineEurope for 17 years, an international leader in trenchless rehabilitation solutions for gravity and pressure pipelines, where he supports drinking water and wastewater operators in the selection and implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions.
His career is built on strong field experience, in-depth expertise in lining processes, and a strategic vision of network rehabilitation projects.
Actively involved in the structuring and development of the sector, he is a member of several national working groups, notably within ASTEE, FSTT, and AFNOR, contributing to the development of best practices, technical guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
